o rly? you are right you cant "hack" a wow server with addons but you can use bugs/exploits and just be smarter then others (in this case server devs). This addon will allow you to use gm commands! I really dont want to battle you ( i really hate these flame wars) but there are several ppl who got a beta version and anyone of them can confirm it's working (these guys are mods on dsoft and ****...) feel free to visit my profiles on dsoft and **** and you'll see that i got vip/prem account on both sites (which i reciefed as reward from the admin in both cases). I'm not a scammer or something like that... but if you have any questions or so pm me (just to prefent a flame war)

So why don't you set up a public demonstration? Find a well-known server, set up a date and time, have anyone who's skeptical log on, and prove it works. Noone gets the addon, so there's no risk involved.

thats a good idea and think also the only way to really proof it i really can understand what the word "gm hack" is forcing anyone to yell "FAKE!!" but i really cant stand it when ppl just post it to raise their post count.

Ill demonstrated it! i think ill be done with coding this week... there are only a flew things left but i want to be done with anything before. I hope that anyone who wants to posts things like "fake" will be see its more reasonable to propose a server instead

Mabey, seems to be that the GM hack for ps will most likely work (to some extent) but it will get fixed by core devs (on most of the major servers)

The retail hack however seems a bit too good to be true. Even if it did work Blizzard would take action and win and also patch it in their next updates like they did with any other hack.

Also as there has been no proper proof of it then my opinion of this still stands until shown otherwise.

Well, I won't be so sure about those GM hacks.

But it is infact possible at some private servers to send wrong data packages to the server which help you to do some stuff, like flying etc. But I can not imagine that they give you also the power to let's say add items etc.

And I think all "GM hacks" are not interesting as long as they only work for some private servers:P

Aye sir. However, the "flyhaxx" are client-side based. They tell the client "omg lul, ur zwimming in orgrimmar!".

Technically, such "gm hacks" would be possible. However, every Ascent branch has built in security. Acceslevels are checked pre- and post-command. The server will refuse to hand out anything that way.

It's not even out yet, Hellfire stated he's going to do a public demonstration, so wait until then. If he doesn't do it in another week or two i'd say it's vaporware though.

This is most likely vaporware in my opinion, until I see a working demonstration.
And even if you could hack GM on a private server or retail server, if the developers on either side are smart enough you can stop it in a matter of minutes.

Addon hack? Give me a break! If GM hack existed it wouldn't be an addon but normal desktop application. You can't change outgoing packet's info with addon. And for GM hack it will need a lot of packet changing and knowing the emulator's flaws in source code. From what i've saw in the screenshots in his site he only shows his skills in addon making with "Project: WoW Ilioner". He basicly re-wrote some of the functions which you can reach by going to interface options while ingame. Oh look when you click here you get your video settings to lowest possible /facepalm. He is showing in the screenshots only things that can be done with the addon, nothing else. One thing that made my day was "-execute lua code on targets client" (this is about the same project which can be run on retail). Yeah he is pure genius! He couldn't learn basic English but he managed to somehow edit target's client source, so it can accept his lua code/files. This is serious guys!!! After he release his projects Blizzard probably will shut down their servers until they manage to fix all the security holes that dude found in their game. Oh the sarcasm...
