New EMU Branch Team - Paid Dev's`

Looking for 3 People to join New Developer TEAM - $200 Per month initially.

We are looking for a skilled team of coders for a new branch on either arc, aspire or Mangos.. The reason we have not chosen the version yet is because the Skills and views of the dev's are paramount and will be involved in the choice of the branch we take.

    The project -
EMU project to have highly skilled, paid staff working on the CORE, Scripts and the Database.

The project will be completely open to the public from day one, the only difference is that we will micromanage the development and with the in-house skills we will not have to heavily rely on the public for fixes and updates ( but they will always be welcome ) . The idea is to have an EMU who's team get paid for the Hard work and abuse they receive.. At the moment it is a thankless task so it is about time the Dev's who give all you players an amazing free experience get something in return. I personally will be funding this project for a minimum of 6 months.

I hate people who start up new projects instead of bolting onto others, but I have approached other projects and made the offer to finance and help with the management but they are not interested ( contact me if you think otherwise ) If we use any coding from any other project at any time we will donate to that project to help them, we will also put our code out there for other projects to use if they want to..

    so we are looking for:

Developers who are Experts in one or more of the following (and we mean Experts, not beginners)
    c++
    Mysql/php
    Linux ( centos )
    Windows ( 2003 server )
    Lua

In addition we require a Big boss as project Manager. This person must be mature and knowledgeable in all of the above...
Please apply initially to MSN/EMAIL [email protected] with info on your skillset and history.

    Thanks

New EMU Branch Team - Paid Dev's`

Open source means free to develop, free to use.
And money doesn't make you a good coder.
I'd strongly suggest you to rethink this, is it worth it to spent _any_ money on emulation.

I actually agree with your points to some degree.

Money does not make you a good developer. But if I can pay a developer a little bit every month to help them not worry as much about bills and to show my trust and belief in them then I can only think of good things that can come of it. And OFC it is optional, they could donate the money to charity if the wanted

I can afford to pay because I own a hosting and Design company and have done for many years.. I have given free dedicated servers to many projectrs over the years just to see them give up after a few weeks. so I thought it was about time I got a team together myself.

The money would come out of my personal Pay. that is why I put a 6 month initial funding limit. after 6 months we would review and then hopefully continue. Im not rich but I beleive people should be paid for their work.

    Hi,

Im sorry but I dont understand your point? the source wil be availible to everyone at all times. the only risk is a risk to me that others wil take the code and leave me behind lol.. But in honesty I am not some 13 year old kid meglomaniac. There would be nothing for me to gain, the moment you pull a project from devs is the moment the project is outdated and dies.

update: We have many LUA coders asking to join the team. At the moment we are looking more for c++ for the core, php for the website scripts and DB intigration and Mysql for database development.
LUA coders are required but not at the early stages.

Looks like it will be hearthstone core as we already have 3.1 working. although we are also running a 2nd project with a new EMU that is yet to be named, it is running stable on 2.4.3 so far but we are in the middle of re-writing the datbase as its scalability was not good.
