Just shutdown your firewall, open all ports and try again, in that way you will see it's not the ports that are holding you down.

Ports are fine and my firewall does not need to be turned off, i opened ports in both the router and firewall and hosted a server before with another rev and repack from a year ago but thats gone now...

Once again it is not a connection problem. Thanks anyway.

Well, there is nothing wrong with the current ascent core..
