    It Apperas there may have been some changes I have to copy a file to another folder to get it to work, Created Mapbot folder and in there created an objects folder. then copied oMapper.iss into that folder and it ran like a charm after that.

    OK On to my question. I have seen it noted that one can get full mapping files by extractracting the MPQ's I have a collection of files I got by doing that for another project. Is there a particular format or anything I think the ones I have are in BIN format.. what would one do to use them. or is taht a guarded secret?

    I read that Apoc had an automapper (of some sort) that was going to be put into 2.6, did that ever go through? I don't see any mentions of it in the change log or anything. I'd imagine that the changes to the mapper in 2.6 is what broke this one, but hey, what do I know?

    i was wondering has anyone noticed that this auto mapper won't actually map *around* obstacles? it seems to recognize there's something in the way but doesn't attempt to map around that object... rather treating the object like a wall

    so instead of getting something like this

    Not sure if i'm making sense in those pictures...

    Well, all it does is check if you have an unobstructed path to the test spot, and if so, tells the mapper to map it, and if it is obstructed, does not. I seem to remember there being a setting you could change to make so it doesn't do the check (or at the very least you could take that part of the code out), but that will cause a lot more map bloat.

    Idea for you who got a lot of things in the way of mapping. What I did was just to do "20 3" then make sure you go around all over the place. So map a small area then move on instead of going for a bigger area. What I have noticed it maps from the current cords, so you could move around a thing so it maps around it.

    If you want to use this with openbot,and many will, make sure you pick numbers which will hit 5.
    1, 2.5, 5 are OK
