Just dropped a few Hotspots and mapped the Area but it tells me that i haven't enough mapping data..
Moswald created a very interesting guide on the OpenBot forums that incorporates the use of Automapper. It's quite comprehensive, and although
you will eventually "outgrow" this guide as you become more experienced with OpenBot (to the extent that Automapper is unnecessary, as the bot essentially figures everything out on its own within a few passes) it's helpful if you're having trouble figuring out exactly what you should be doing at first.
One note is that it's apparently unnecessary to save your maps in XML format to make use of Automapper, contrary to what is stated in the guide.
OB Forums - View topic - A new player's guide to bot mapping / grinding
All credit goes to Moswald.
EDIT: Apparently the creator of this guide has removed the references to Automapper, but it's still an excellent source of information if you're starting out. Automapper really isn't necessary.

I get a could'nt open error after the script finished, something like
couldn't open ../openbot/map//instances/NULL for writing
And openbot seem to not use the data from the mapping script, or just a few of it, while mapping there will appear only a few dots on the rendred mapping display, even after relaunching openbot it'll only show very few dots made by the mapping script, maybe it's not compatible with the prefered path extension from the openbot forum that I use.
I hacked 127.0.0.1
kool nice ima try that now
kool nice ima try it now
I was wondering if this script is still available; the pastebin link leads to a blank page
-ToG

I might be blind.. but where do I download the mapbot application part?
I put the file in the openbot folder, but it's a .txt file. I named it map.iss but I suspect that that's not the way to do it. How do I make it .iss?
open the txt file,
goto save as,
name it map.iss
where is says "save as type" click "all files"
is the code bugged a bit? it used to work, accidentally got rid of it, new code doesn't work.... gonna take a look, but not sure what changed
