I'm not sure without testing and have since uninstalled VirtualBox. Another thing I found was that due to the VM having to use Windows generic drivers, the performance was poor. I don't have enough experience of using VM software so I can't say if performance could be improved (by using a proper GPU driver) or whether another VM is a better solution.

Without streaming method:
VMWare Workstation or Player both work fine (to run wow in as host), but dont expect 100% lag free gameplay - however since chimpeon does not support hardware keystrokes if you run chimpeon in the physical pc VMware is on it will not be able to send keystrokes to the virtual machine as VMWare blocks software keystrokes - this is currently my method for my personal pixel bot. [I cannot share what I use to send my hardware keystrokes - but you can look into https://github.com/jasonpang/Interceptor] as a software based "hardware" keystroke.

Other method: (without chimpeon - need linux native app)
Run wow under linux in wine - send hardware / software keystrokes from linux host to wow window, the advantage here is support for allowing software keystrokes.
The one flaw in the above linux + wine method is that it "may" stop working in BFA with the changes to only support DX11, as its still not quite stable yet.

With streaming method:
If you are referring to streaming to a virtual PC from a completely different physical PC it shoud be fine using this method, but streaming from VMWare host to VMWare guest, (and controlling host from guest), i dont think will work*, emphasis on think - have not tested.
*Edit: Just tested this morning, its possible with VMWare - you can use splashtop streaming - but u need to disconnect mouse from host pc once streaming starts and ofc u need 2 screens on host, 1 for vmware 1 for game which is being streamed.

I've been using the Chimpeon streaming method to catch fish. I used the fishing config detailed on the main post (Chimpeon Key Sender / Auto Clicker) and it worked a treat

I'm not ChimpeonFan, but the Discord wasn't removed by the creators of the Chimpeon server, it was removed by Discord themselves as a result of pressure from Blizzard to have Discord remove any and all servers that pertained to "cheating" in any of their games. Any Discord servers dedicated to combat routines, farming bots, aimbots, hacks, scripts, exploits or RMT that were related to any of Blizzards games have been cracked down on.

As for the program itself, it's a great program but it will get you banned in any of Blizzard's games that run their anti-cheat (Overwatch and WoW in particular). Perhaps the use of the streaming method can get around this... I still haven't tried to confirm. It's still a great program for private servers or other, non-Blizzard, games.

use a WOW addon that displays an icon on your game screen when you press a key. Chimpeon could then be setup to stop when it detects a pixel in this icon, and start when it detects a pixel in another icon. You would use the Status Hot Keys for this functionality...

Have you tried activating Chimpeon? Help menu > Activate.
