Sounds a little complicated but I will look over the PDFs and see what I can do. Would I have to have the stipulation of the 1% for each spell?

Also, do you need to run the game in window mode for this to work or can chimp be running in the background?

You probably wouldn't have to check for a mob's Health because the addon icons for recommended spells can be set to only appear when a mob is targetted.

Is it possible to change the icons in Ovale?

Yes by changing spell icon just like I did here
as you see I have added light blue line under the spell so chimp detect it quickly and not delay.

The program is actually pretty fun to use to far. Once you get the first ability down, it's a piece of cake. However, I'm currently using Hekili and a lot of my icons are the same color. Hekili also used a slide transition between spells. So far I'm only able to get one ability to go and then Chimp keeps trying to spam another button.

For any of you that use Hekili and WA2, I'm having issues with the addon icon that changes to show you what ability to hit next. Many of my spells are the same color. Also, I'm having issues with the icons because they change only when I'm fighting, so I'm not able to get the exact x,y coordinates unless I'm in combat. Anyone have advice on how to set this up for Hekili? This thing is awesome so far!

After playing around with this program for a couple days and finally understanding how to set it up. I have come to the conclusion that it isn't all that great for caster classes. I think melee classes and other classes with instant abilities will benefit more from this program.

I have had issues with spells being delayed. Someone in this thread mentioned it's because the icons were not pure color. So I went ahead and changed the icon colors to have a little box of color (blue, green, red, ect ect) so each spell had a different colored box on the icon. There is still delay on Ice Lance.

I have tried Ovale and TellMeWhen. Both produce poor DPS compared to when I manually play.

So if someone has successfully set this up for Frost Mage. Let me know what you did to solve the delay issue on Ice Lance.. Because even after giving the icon a "Pure" color, it still is being delayed. Giving pure colors on the other icons worked out well, it's just it didn't work for Ice Lance.

However, if you have an optimal TellMeWhen rotation profile and Chimpeon is setup correctly then it would be difficult to beat Chimpeon's DPS compared to doing the rotation manually. Unless of course you have the reflex of a Star Nosed Mole (they're fast)! The Star-Nosed Mole

Try a TellMeWhen class rotation available here and see if that improves your DPS...

I have tried TellMeWhen and I have downloaded the rotations from that video for Mages. There seems to be an issue with TellMeWhen where if you get 3 charges of Ice Lance, the addon freezes on Frostbolt and won't continue to display anything but Frostbolt until I manually use Ice Lance charge.

Besides. Ovale is based off the Simulationcraft APL. So probably the best rotation you can possibly get for an Addon.

Sounds like the problem is with the addon. Chimpeon will only press a key based upon what recommended spell icon is presented on the screen by the addon!

Maybe @Vinshom can chip in on this as I think he has experience using Chimpeon with caster classes?!

Right. I know this.

When I have 2 Ice Lance procs. The addon icon will stay on Ice Lance until I use both charges. So therefore, Chimpeon should be pressing my Ice Lance hotkey twice. Which it does, but there is a delay between the 2 presses from Chimpeon. To give you an example...

Is Chimpeon processing something else when you want it to cast Ice Lance? Is the toon casting something else?

Ovale is not ideal because it displays multiple icon boxes at one time. How many of those boxes are you using in your groups?
