Considering that he most likely uses different in-game settings compared to you, it won't work for you.
You have to set it up yourself, just use pixel color and grab the color of all abilities from Hekili and bind every color to a key. Remember when you do this to lock Heliki in place to where you want it to show because if you move it around it won't work anymore. It's easy to set up.
Chimpeon 101 - Helping in a Dungeon or Raid
Chimpeon automation/rotation tool demonstration. - YouTube
Here is a quick showcase I made because I was bored. It is pulling very good DPS (taking my ilvl into consideration) combined with Heliki and it only took me 10 minutes to setup for that demonstration right there.
I've purchased this and used it on my demon hunter to tank through mythics. Pretty smooth and made my run a lot less tiring. Very very simple to set up once I realised what I had to do.
Tried on assassination rogue but not going too well at the moment
When using Hekili, it shows you what ability to press next.
Open Chimpeon, under groups, create a group for each of your abilities that you want the program to use. For enhancement shaman I use Boulderfist, Stormstrike, Lava Lash, Flametongue, Frostbrand, Crash Lightning and Doom Winds and nothing else.
Bind each group (ability) to the key that it is bound to in-game. My boulderfist is bound to "1" in-game, so under key/button in Chimpeon you want to bind that to 1 aswell. Do that for all your groups.
Next, under "action on" you want to change it to pixel color for all your groups.
So lets say Hekili tells you to use Boulderfist next, go into the pixel color edit tool (theres a little hammer next to it when you have changed "action on" to pixel color). When you're in there, tab into wow and hold CTRL and hover over the ability the rotation addon (hekili in this case) tells you to use and release CTRL. That way it grabs the color and placement of the ability it needs to use next. Do that for all groups.
Thats pretty much it. I think Vinshom made a guide a few pages back for it, otherwise just go to the Chimpeon website and theres a few pages there on how to set it up I think. I'm beating other main enhancement shamans in my guild and others with much worse ilvl. I could probably make a guide and upload it to YouTube but I feel it's a waste of time considering Vinshom already made one and the fact that my English pronunciation is shit because I'm not a native speaker.

Does this work for Fire Mages?
What addon would you recommend for Fire Mage?
Edit: Tried it with Ovale and I didn't get good results. Maybe I set it up wrong. Can someone clarify for me if I did it correctly?
First thing I want to do is create groups. Each group is whichever spell I want Chimpeon to use. So for example, Group 1 will be Fireball. Then I want to add the hotkey to the group that Fireball is set to in WoW.
Once I have the groups set up. I want to capture the pixel color right? So I went into WoW (Windowed) and captured the pixel color for my spells where the addon Ovale is displaying them on my screen.
Okay so all that is done. I think I have everything setup.
So when I go to run Chimpeon.. All it does is cast Fireball over and over. So I'm confused..

WeakAuras 2 seems good for most classes.
WeakAuras 2 - Buffs & Debuffs - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse
Not sure how it works with Ovale but it should work. But in my addon (Hekili) it shows what to press next and the 3-4 other abilities to press next after the I pressed the first one. After I used the first one, another spell will show up in that place. You need to grab the color of that spell in the place it wants you to use it next otherwise it'll just repeatedly spam the same ability
Kinda hard to explain, but example:
My addon tells me to use Boulderfist first, then stormstrike, then stormstrike and then lava lash so it looks like this:
[boulderfist] [stormstrike] [stormstrike] [lava lash].
When I click boulderfist, boulderfist will be replaced with stormstrike in the first field. So now it looks like this:
[stormstrike] [stormstrike] [lava lash] [flametongue].
So you need to manually execute your rotation and grab the color of the spell it wants you to use in that same place. Not really sure how else to explain it.
You should have good results considering the program is faster than you and will execute the rotation that your addon tells you perfectly.
