    PocketFork - OpenSource MacBot

    Hello Everyone,

I am working on a project called PocketFork, which is a fork of the once open source PocketGnome bot for Mac clients.

Right now I have just gotten the subversion kinks worked out and upload the last known "Open Source" version of PG to our repo. Feel free to snag a copy, I am working on updating all the offsets and getting the base bot working again for 4.1.0 clients. I have just about all the offsets needed, now comes the time to read the code and figure out what needs updating.

I myself am not well versed in Mac Objective-C programing, professionally I spend my time working on embedded Linux devices so its taking me some time to come up to speed with XCode, etc.

I am hoping to have something out this weekend so those whom can't afford to pay for the Awesome PocketGnome bot will have other choices, choices are good right?

Just wanted to drop a quick note and let people know of the project, and that I have made progress and should be up and working soon.

OP: If I have posted this in the wrong place please PM and let me know the best place for this moving forward, I read the rules and I have not lolcat photos in my post

Downloaded the source and ran into a million issues on 10.6.7

The ShortcutRecorder.ibplugin wasnt registering even though i followed instructions so i downloaded the original plugin after loading that and adjusting some things to my mac for the build. Everything seemed to be compiling and then i hit about 90+ warnings, some were important, some were not. Finally it died on the shell compelling it for missing lbz1.2.3 so i tried adding it however, all i see is other versions, none which work (such as 1.5.1) then after trying to add the other three dependancy's that were there they too would not load as an alternate path was not an option. I do a bit of coding myself but im not a huge fan of xcode, so i decided to scrap it for the night.

Looking forward to this as a possibility because Mac need more love.

The program is 3 years old, that may be the reason that it does not work anymore

Understood, however I am toying with the idea of trying to finish developing this, though it looks like it will be a huge headache. The source is not bad but there are a bunch of static values and dependancies that make the compiling fail. Allot of it seems to be graphical changes with the code called. Ill spend an hour or two trying to make sense of it all later.

I've not looked at the code base yet, but I'd be interested in helping or working on something like this.
