Blizzard will maybe make a move very soon due to many reports existing now since hydra released the proof of bladey using it.
It's not like they didn't knew, becase sure they did but they are receiving way more complaints about it now.
There's been released a addon for track the recount logs.
GHT - GCD Hack Tracker : Combat Mods : WoWInterface Downloads
Wonderful... I was just starting to look for a higher-end guild, and if they're smart, they'll probably use this... Also run the risk of getting 'detected' in pugs even. Once again, arena has to mess things up. I might just have to disable the hack now, because players that use this addon are more than likely to open up tickets if their addon start throwing a fit about someone possibly hacking, and as far as I know, Blizz mostly bases their bans on repeated player reports for the same offender then they look into it closer.
edit:
..****. I think he's refering to the youtube videos I made, since I was using Recount and showing before/after of time intervals between abilities when the hack was disabled and enabled....So I started developing the GCD Hack Tracker (GHT), which does the same as the famous Recount-Death picture, that calculates the intervals between certain skills, that cannot be altered by any effects and should never undercut the ~1.5 sec...![]()

pvp nerds ruin pve LAME
Some of the pvp people are playing seriously, getting sponsors etc, so they have to prove themselfs it's really a big advantage for a warrior or hunter for e.g . reduce them gcd by 0.5 sec
I understand them point, is a question of or we all use it or blizzard stop it.
Obviously this was rather funny to top metters in pve![]()

is it possible to "rewrite" the file so that we can have a 1,25gcd or something
As a matter of fact, yes. It is. Deathsoft website has a tutorial as far as making your own GCD hack. They mention clearing the column that contains the GCD duration but theres no reason you can't alter it from, say, 1500 to 1250.
Edit: Following the guide, I changed all occurences of 1.5 sec GCD to 1.25 sec and 1 sec GCD into 0.75 GCD. The server side enforced GCD of all abilities is your normal GCD minus 0.5 seconds. I noticed this once I got my 4 sec bonus on my arms warrior and foudn I could chain Extra Charge sudden death procs really fast, about 0.5 sec between casts.
Here is my MPQ with the above-mentioned conservative reduction of the GCD. It may not seem like much, but I definately noticed a difference, especially when I get my 4 set procs. Flame me if you want, I'm just trying to contribute while keeping relatively 'safe' from the GCD hack detecting addon.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9768004/patch-enUS-7.MPQ Just put this in your wow folder -> Data -> enUS . If you have patch-enUS-w.MPQ, delete it.
Virustotal if you're really that paranoid. http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/...2b6-1284238438
Also, since I was able to hack it myself, and if you need your GCD hacked to a different reduction of time or for a different region like germany, then either upload your region's Spell.dbc, or if you don't know how to get it, upload your patch-xxXX-3.MPQ from your WoW folder -> Data -> xxXX (enUS, enGB, deDE, etc) to some site like rapidshare, dropbox, or whatever site you feel like using for uploading files, and I'll make you a hacked MPQ for your region. Try to keep your request like "Reduce my GCD by 250ms) along with a link of your spell.dbc, preferably compressed with winzip or winrar, or your patch-xxXX-3.MPQ, but don't compress those since they don't compress well anyways.
Another edit: I installed the GCD Hack tracker addon, and it still managed to alert that I was using a GCD hack when GCD was set at 1.25 sec. The default detection is 1.3 sec, so if you're tightly chaining abilities, it'll go off. The safest you can probably manage without the addon going off is taking off 150ms or 1.35 sec.

EU, enGB should it be i think
Has anyone figured out a way to make it show the GCD on your actionbar? On even an addon. It'd help a lot.
Thanks.
