Already read his post and to an extent I'd have to disagree.

For a start there's not a large enough sample space to accurately say how many false positives there would be given a realistic environment so saying there were '4 out of 30' or whatever false positives is pointless.

Furthermore, just because it's not 100% reliable doesn't mean it's totally unreliable. It's a proof of concept, it can be improved upon and even if false positives are still being thrown it's a good way to 'flag' botters and manually investigate them.

The fact is not that there's x false positives etc but that there's a hole like that to begin with. We've already seen how crafty Blizzard can be and if they throw a check like that inside another encrypted code stub and patch it onto the end of an existing packet who the hell is going to notice short of doing some very detailed diffing, and even then the stub would be encrypted so they only know something is there, not what it does.

Regardless, it's a testament to the fact that although Glider may not be getting bans at the moment they definitely don't have all the bases covered.

    lol u fail.
U have to pay to use openbot as well, seeing as it takes a lavishsoft subscription.. and over the time, glider has had more banwaves than innerspace if im not mistaken.

Looks very awesome, especially that the bot quests, if it does indeed quest as well as a player, bots will no longer be distinguishable between players.

By the way, take as long as possible, it's better for it to take a long time yet be awesome, than to be released too early and have major parts incomplete/missing.

Thanks for making this free towards the community, I predict your e-peen will grow at least 2x in size, although it's already pretty big .

It's not released, since well... there's no point in releasing it without anything to protect it. (There's enough done to make it do what it's supposed to, we just haven't done any real testing due to not being able to actually take it in game properly)
