[Release] WoWTracker - For All Your Tracking Needs

    Updated - v1.0.1

This is a little project that I have been working on today and yesterday. I got the idea when I saw http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...-announce.html but i wanted to make one that was better .

    Description

This program can track any Unit or Object by simply putting its name into a text file it can also warn you via WoWSound and the chat-log that a node has been seen, it then blacklists this Object/Unit so that you are not warned again.

    Setup

    • Download the rar archive from http://rapidshare.com/files/19193976...ker_v1.0.1.rar
    • Extract the archive into the same Folder as WoW.exe
    • You should now have a folder called WoWTracker, do not rename it…
    • Now in the WoWTracker folder there will be a Tracking.txt file, open it up in Notepad
    • In this file you should see this:
      Code:
      $Warning on
      $Sound on
      PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Spells\\PVPWarningHorde.wav")
      Bloodthistle
      Peacebloom
      Silverleaf

    • The first few lines are some settings.

    Explanation of Settings
“$Warning On” Will print out located nodes/units to the chat log
“$Warning Off” Will not print out located nodes/units
“$Sound On” Will use WoWSound to alert you of a found unit (Sound in WoW must be turned on)
“$Sound Off” Will not use WoWSound to alert you of a found unit

The next line is the sound you wish to play (is not needed if sound is off) a list can be found here: RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
It must be in this format: PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Spells\\PVPWarningHorde.wav")

EDIT:When playing a sound you are not restricted to the sound files that WoW provides you can play your own .mp3/.wav's ect. Just do this:

    PlaySoundFile("Interface\\AddOns\\MyAddonFolder\\mysound.mp3")

The sound file must be present in the AddOn directory BEFORE loading the game.

Then after that, each line contains the name of the unit or object that you want to be tracked. (New Object/Unit, new line)

    Usage

    • In the WoWTracker folder you will find “WoWLoader.exe” run it
    • It will open up the loader, hit launch to open WoW, you can then close the launcher(I suggest you run WoW in windowed mode)
    • Log in and go in game, hit F9 to load the Tracking.txt file and start the tracker.
    • F9 will also reload the tracker.txt file and reset the blacklist.

If the loader wont work download:

Download details: Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

    Detection
With wardens current scanning methods this will be undetected
But as with any Bot/Program there is always a chance you could get banned.
As Cypher pointed out in his post (http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...ml#post1358434) Blizz could detect this hack if they targeted it...

    Credits
Kynox ,Cypher, Bobbysing and Shynd - for all of the reversing that you do!
Apoc – For being awesome! :P
www.gamedeception.net - Lots of useful stuff
patchLib v2 • A C++ GDI GUI Library - For the awesome loader!
    And anyone else I forgot!

Please report any bugs! Btw the default tracking.txt file is all herb and mining nodes!

    Edit: Forgot scans...

When I saw the mac version, I was jealous and looked around the web like a mdamn to get something similar for normal PC users.

Thanx jjaa that works for me, now it's time for testing, do i put a "$Warning on" before the things i want to warn on? because your config has 2 "$Warning on" in it or just one?

    $Warning on
    $Sound on
    PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Spells\\PVPWarningHorde.wav")
    Bloodthistle
    Peacebloom
    Silverleaf
    Earthroot
    Mageroyal
    Briarthorn
    Stranglekelp
    Bruiseweed
    $Warning On
    etc etc etc...
