    I called them over the phone and received my refund.

    What I found to be incredibly hilarious is that the agent said upon looking at my purchase history "Let me guess, pokemon go right?" And then went on a rant about how many complaints they are getting about Niantic. I actually read from someone else in this forum that the same thing happened to him but would have never believed it if it had not happened to me as well.

    Google service was excellent. I never botted on my account however my bf did spoof on his, and we share IP adresses, since when we went out I sometimes tethered to his phone.

    You had better luck than I did.

    Call them, they are usually more flexible over the phone. Tell them that you were looking through your statements and you don't remember making those purchases. If asked, and only if asked, tell them that a family member might have done those purchases without authorization.
    Tell them that you tried getting in touch with the developer and that they only send out automated responses on every ticket (which is true). That it has been so for over 2 weeks.

    If, and only if that is not enough, tell them that you are trying to do it the correct way by reaching out to the developer and failing that, google, at that you don't want to resort to your bank for a chargeback.

    If they won't refund you then call your bank and say that you didn't authorize those charges. Just make up some BS about how your kids got your card and were buying stuff on game apps. Don't mention pokemongo. All merchants agree that the charges can be reversed if they are fraudulent or other such activity.

    I find this hilarious. I wonder how much money Niantic is losing as this thread spreads

    Just tell them your make believe brother used your account while you were on vacation.
    Refunded 85 bucks for me after trying the day prior via phone but used the 'shitty radar' excuse and they denied me.

    I've tried several times, I have a couple of these so in total about 14 requests have been denied... no matter what I choose. O.o



    Oh well, at this point I say F' it I knew the risk beforehand. I'll just keep on playing how I want and they can suck it!
