At the moment there is NOTHING confirmed, Niantic did say nothing about perma bans or how they work so far.

I figured I'd post what happened to my account,

I was botting fine all night yesterday, than at around 6am I decided I was going to completely stop botting (probably forever). So I used quickspin to unsoftban myself in my location. It did not work. I was fully softbanned, this means I could not fight gyms,catch pokemons OR loot stops. I figured this was probably temporary so I waited. Fast forward 2 hrs later, I log back in, I can now do everything except loot pokestops. Again, figured it was softbanned and only cure was to wait, I went to sleep. When I woke up today, and tried to log in, it said failed to get data from server, and has been saying this since. The failed to get data message only started when I logged out my account and tried to log back in (I was already logged in when I woke up, had to relog cause stops were blank).

This makes me think that it's probably a 24 hr ban, considering my account went from not being able to do anything except log in, to being able to catch stuff and fight gyms to failed to get data. Some people have reported having the failed to get data from server and now they're able to log in. Even legit people has been affected by this in some cases, so where is the proof that this is a perma ban? There is currently none right now. I'm not here to reassure everyone and tell them their account is fine, but there is no need to panic at this time, all we can do is wait and hope for the best. I will post again if my account is able to log in tomorrow. I'm guessing if it fixes itself, it'll be at around 6-8am.

That email is a fake. It's been appearing online since 24hrs ago. Same exact image. Check that guy's inbox - 3 unread, 2 drafts, 1 friend? highly unlikely right ?

First of all, settle down. I read what you have to say (several times) but unless you are a representative from Niantic, you really don't know anymore than the next poster in the thread. If you have inside information or a source other than "hurr durr, it's common sense", please provide that to the group and we will go from there.

The truth of the matter is no one knows what the current situation is except those who work for Niantic right now and are privy to the inner working of the system. You very well be right and this very well may be a permanent ban. But until we get confirmation from Niantic, you have nothing better than anecdotal conjecture.

I am speaking based on other accounts getting the same result that you are receiving today, that was tested and later understood at later iterations. Here is a great idea, if someone approaches you and says 12 hours before you need to shut down yet you release one last update, what do you do (yet you released in that time frame)? What is your release(s)?

I am not banned, so I don't really give a shit ... I hope people on level 35 or higher stay banned, thats my opinion.

Why is it that some users who had failed to get data are now able to log in? Why is it that some legit players are affected by this? Why is it that when I used to play legit, I would get it from time to time while my girlfriend was sitting next to me able to login? Why is it that the opposite happened where I could log in but she couldn't? This message is not new, I've seen random people on the streets restarting their apps and getting it.

In 72 hours when you still receive the same message, will you accept me as the one who told you so. IF YOU BOTTED using open source code and exited the action limit as detected on August 12 2016 and prior, you are banned your message is HI **** YOU HUMBLY or RETRY log in. Get over it. Play Legit or google how to code.

I bot, I don't send contest e-mails. I accept "you got me". I don't re-open "banned" configurations. When today there was a surge I tried and a number of accounts were re-namable in PTC, while others were accessible yet receiving the **** you humbly or retry later, I am not interested in defining periods of wait. Bot to bot. RIP when they stop working the hordes are in wait.

Sorry I replied. I set a string on Necro bot at detection, but GITHUB was nuked. Apologies for attempting to bring sense. A lot of people gave a lot of hours to get everyone a "yesterday" bot amid all the still existing accounts. SAY thanks. Appreciate and thank then move on.

Funny ya'll hoping failed to get server error may still have your acct back, haha. NEWFLASH! it's not coming back, you are ban and that's the end of it. Or maybe email Niantic and apolgize for using 3rd party app and hope for the best. i did this on my other game app such as eternal warrior and they bought it back to life. GoodLuck!

Are you seriously this dense? There is no proof of anything, it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. I am not claiming that I am not banned, I am saying WE DON'T KNOW FOR SURE. Even if it was a perma ban, I would not accept "you" as the one who "told me so" cause you literally know nothing, you don't work for niantics, you're just some guy on the internet flapping his mouth. Again, you purposefully ignored my questions on the subject. There is people out there who had the message who are able to log in now. So your word means squat here.
