Exploration - short end of the MMowned Reputation stick?

I have been told by posts on this site:[*]Contribute, and you'll be free to roam around wherever you want.

...but I find that this isn't the case. I have been contributing constantly... but only in the Exploration forum. I am an explorer, this is all I do. Unfortunately, the explorers pool on MMowned is a limited pool. The players change fairly often, but there are only a handful of active explorers posting in the exploration section at any given time. I put out an exploration... they all like it and give me +reputation. I put out a new exploration the next day... and they can't give me rep, because they gave it yesterday, and they 'must spread' first.

Because of this, I feel I am gaining reputation at a slower rate. How do I fix this? I have been told to "purchase a guide, and post it up in the guide section for free". Really? The only way to get ahead in the MMowned reputation game is to purchase the reputation with money, then post in a different section than I am used to posting? This seems flawed... The current system encourages me to contribute less often in order to give people time to "spread" reputation. This seems flawed...

Are explorers getting the short end of the reputation stick? I would love a comment from a moderator.

You should be happy that your helping so many users and not make ur focus getting reputation.

too bad, sorry but not much to say other than that. the reputation system is limited in this way to prevent useless repfarming from pictures that looks like penises etc

means that those users are hitting their daily rep "out to others" cap.
as far as exploration goes...

it's not entirely ground breaking to find a empty zone or penis shaped land masses like kur stated >.>

if you wish, you could say most things out of the guides & exploits section get far less rep when compared.

I've contributed to 3 sections and thats exploit guides and exploration.. And really, exploits and guides is about as fast as exploration. I was lucky to find 2 major exploits (both in top 3 or 5 of most viewed/replied), but that's an exception.. If you want quick rep, share a paid thing or start programming/model editting.

This site allows access to certain sections only once you gain enough Reputation. I am happy to help...obviously... as I continue to contribute to this site on a regular basis. I think my actions speak clearly enough...

No need to apologize, KuRIos. I can understand and appreciate that the system is to prevent "penis picture rep farming", etc.... I was just suggesting that this safeguard was discouraging real contribution from people like myself, by essentially penalizing me for finding new explorations "too quickly". I'm not out there looking for penis pictures... I'm spending my time doing real exploration for MMowned users to enjoy. As it is now, I am encouraged by the current system to sit on each new exploration for a few weeks and contribute slower, if I want to eventually be an Elite user of MMowned. Or, I guess my other option is...

Thanks to all for these replies...I do appreciate it. I will continue to explore this MMO and I will continue to share my discoveries with the community in the exploration forum. This is a really great community, and I am happy that it exists.

ya know, helping out in the shoutbawx is a great way to gain rep. a specific user i know went from 80 rep to over 400 by primarily being helpful through that method. those in the know... know.

just dont ask for it. and never answer if you 1)don't know 2) have no time right then and 3) not patient right then.
