What happened to all the good Phishers?

Whatever happened to the good old days when phishers actually tried? I keep getting these stupid phisher emails that look like they are either from foreign people or they were made by 12 year olds.

Every single one of them has had the exact same body text, from email, and subject. The only real difference between the emails is which links go to which phisher sites.

With urls like worldofwarcraft-account-security-verification.com, beta.login-check.blizzard.com, and my personal favorite: worldofwarcraft-logins-blizzardaccount.com:8088. I mean honestly, some of these emails aren't even attempting to disguise the links anymore. Do they think that I'm so stupid that I would click on a link that looks nothing even remotely like a plausible Blizzard Entertainment website?

It's getting to be insulting now days. I want the good old creativity back; when they actually tried to trick me with a "1" instead of an "l" or using a different TLD and maybe using a little bit of HTML trickery.

In all honesty I really want to be tricked by a phisher/scammer/etc (not that I would actually ask people here to try and trick me, because I know I'm not nearly smart enough to beat everyone).

If any phishers read this though, please actually take the time to develop a very plausible email instead of using the easy-edit crap you seem to be getting from somewhere.

Lord knows I did a lot of shit in the scamming section before it's removal, thankfully got out of it .. even if it was late on my part.

Personally I am glad the phishers are shitty, hurting your fellow humans regardless if you know them or not, even under some false(and you know it) misconception in your brain that it's okay.. "it's virtual" is stupid as hell. Perhaps when you grow up enough you will see this point of view, perhaps...

and even more so sadly.. people do fall for them, internet savvy people don't, and there are plenty of those who aren't savvy.

before you spout off " they deserve it for being stupid", no one deserves harm for doing nothing but being on the internet, yes it may not be physical but it's an attachment that is being ripped from them for greedy means.

Scamming, Lying, Thievery, Greediness. It all falls into those categories no matter how it is looked at.

I get ~10 phishers on my mail every day with crap urls... But I got a phisher with -snip- url today and perfect grammar! I almost fell for it xD
