wrong map id loaded :)

Hey, I've read some posts about people who got the wrong map ID loaded when they entered the game, and it just happend to me. It's not the first time this happens for me, but it's the first time I "document" it and I thought I could make a short post about it =).

So, I was standing in the Horde camp in STV when I alt+F4 wow, and started it again, with this new addon I had just put in my addons folder.

I log into the game but instead of STV, I find myself here:

I pressed 'M' to see where I was and this is where I found myself:

Okej, so Iam south of Silithus . I started swiming around abit and found this player sitting in the water

He seemed to be AFK so I moved on and found this rogue that I invited to a group.

As you can see by reading the chat, I asked him of he could see me, but he answered -No.
Since I was a few feet closer to hell then he was, I started to jump up and down, and then he could see me :P

He was in a hurry so we disbanded the group and I started looking around a bit more. After a while I found those mobs. I didn't know if i were able to attack them so I tried and it worked

After I had looted my awsome loot I started swimming against the Silithus coast.

Aperently, I was now in Westfall if you look at the mobs:

Okej, I was now starting to get a bit bored of this but I decided to check out my favourite place, Dire Maul, and see how it looked like now.

As you can see, there is no arena specator where it should be one, this is because iam not really in Dire maul, but in a zone in Kalimdor instead.

I would have been very chocked of I were able to enter the DM instance from here, but you can never know for 100% so I gave it a try anyaway..

, ok it didn't work, now we know that.. I felt that this is it, so I logged out and logged back in, and this time everything went fine, I ended up in Kalimdor where I were supposed to be

It used to be - not sure if it's still working like this - that if you d/ced below sea level, so down in the water at certain points or whatever, you would teleport to a different map/spot when you logged back in.

This sounds like a glitch, uncontrollable and as such does not belong here. Good try though.

this happened to me also when i logged back on in the same location as in ur first pic, so it must be something with grom'grol or like the previous poster said

This happened to me in ironforge once and i went around killing people without them knowing what was going on

If I remember correctly, while auto running your mount into the Mailbox in Grom'gol, then Alt F4'ing you will log back in in the wrong Map ID as seen.
