How to make rain in photoshop.

i searched and didnt find anything if there is the same tut on here tell me and ill try to delete it. okay well in this tutorial we are going to be making rain in the background. like this one. (and im sorry some of the print screens are crappy)

okay step 1: open up your render or sig that you wish to apply rain to in photoshop img ready.


Step 2: add to new layers by clicking the little button in the layers tab.

Step 3 : Paint all the layers black as shown


Step 4 hide all the layers except for your render layer and your first black layer.


Step 5: then go to your render tab and hit add noise apply these following settings =


step 6: okay now the pictures get a bit hard to read case i screwed up doing the print screens stuff (sorry) now go back to your render tab and this time go under blur and motion blur (if you cant see i used these settings ho degress and 30px)



Step 7: now change the opacity of that layer to about 45%

Step 8: repeat step 5 to 7 but each time you add noise add 1 percent exrta EG. the first time we added 50% noise on the next layer you will ad 51% noise and on the one after add 52% noise. but the motion blur stays the same.

Step 9. now in your animation tab duplicate the first layer twice so there is 3 tabs in that animation tab thing-o



Step 10: this is a bit ahrd to explain so i took a screenie ill try to explain. on the first animation tab make all the layers except the render layer and the first rain layer visibale

Step 11: okay do the same with the second tab in the animation tab but make it so only the render layer and the second rain layer are visable so this means that the first rain tab will be invisbale again.

Step 12: do the same that you just did but make the last rain layer visable but all the rest invisiable (cept the render ofc)



END RESULT THAT I GOT

once agin im sorry bout the images some of them are small (i made the canvas size to big for the images >.<) i explained as best as i could (this is my first graphic guide) so enjoy of yeah and im also sorry for size of the thread huge images >.<
