It is displaying Chinese text, as you can see in the 2nd line (rather than ???????). It will also display other exile names which are in Chinese. I am not sure what more are you expecting.

First of all, make sure you are using the latest version.

In my current version of the program, the line numbers of the calling instructions differ slightly - I'm almost sure that you have an outdated version. Reinstall the application using the link that I indicated above

Is it normal for pre-load to show Crafting Recipes even after they are unlocked? I already have almost all except 2 Crafting Recipes, but the ones I'm missing aren't from the map on this screenshot, does this mean that the game spawns (and hides) the Crafting Recipe even after it's unlocked?

Most recipes are just a pillar with a sign that you can click on if you haven't already learned it.
It is always loaded and located on the map, and it is when the corresponding resources are loaded that the GH determines its presence on the map.
The visibility of a particular recipe is determined by the # symbol in the configuration file in the section:

It doesn't actually support Chinese, which is not cool, but rather frustrating for me, it would be great if you could fix this bug

When you say doesn’t support Chinese, you mean Chinese client?

If that’s the case, then there is a valid reason for that. Chinese tencent client is very different from western client. I am going to wait till they become similar. Once they do then I will support Chinese client, otherwise I can not:
