what would be the most efficient way to reduce ram usage? the game crashes for me on dx11 due to this. some particular folder or something?

When I open poesmoother, I try to tick of all the boxes on the right side and then run poe, yet I dont see any changes? It strikes me, that when i exit and relaunch poesmoother, the settings are not saved (boxes not ticked).

Basically I just download poesmoother. run as admin (poe game NOT open). tick boxes. then tried to both close smoother / start game. I dont see what i could be doing wrong. tried many times. running win7

edit: also I notice the gamepack actually gets slightly bigger every time i try to reopen smoother and tick boxes. Yet, no graphics changes nor saved settings.

If you run the free version with only just few options, there is not much a difference. See if the shadows and the fog are going away when you use the tool.

As above, with free version there's no ram usage reduced, only removes some effects.

Hmm, I was kinda thinknig if I noticed sth, but couldnt judge lol. But still, does it makes sense that if I tick the boxes, then when I reopen there are unticked? Seems odd somehow

It's nothing to save, the tool changes text files from the Content.ggpk and that's it. If you close the tool and reopen, everything you thick it will be applied again...unchecked to restore default.

idk, maybe it scanned previous changes. So just to get it straight. if i reopen, none of the boxes will be ticked regardless?

my problem is most of ; HERALD OF İCE explode effect ! but when i go file there is tomuch things ! for remove a effect with all what i need to do ? just delete whole folder and put a '' 0 '' in empty area ? well i try this its didint work i just wanna delete allll herald of ice effect explodes ..
this is my only problem,
when i delete like u show for discharge , after im getting error ,

The tutorial is pretty old, i have made that in the begininng when i didn't know so much how to change all sort of files.
I will make a new one when i have time.

Now for your Herald of Ice, first extract the directory "ice" from: "Metadata\Effects\Spells\herald\ice"...to your "configs\restore\Custom", than copy that into "configs\new\Custom" to work on it.
There you will have some files:

For "*epk" just put a 0 and save it.
For "iceherald_explode.aoc" remove what's inside the "SkinMesh" and delete "ParticleEffects/Lights".
This is how it looks like after:

You can do the same with "ice_herald.aoc" if you don't want to see the herald at all.
Now just check your Custom option to change what you'v done.
