What exactly is FileRoot? I went back a few pages but didn't find anything.

However, just want to say how much I appreciate your work man. This program makes PoE much more enjoyable for me.

It's where GGG stores all of the file objects in memory. These objects have the actual file location, their content, as well as some metadata. We iterate through all of the files to see if the area they are loaded for matches the area we are in (for preload alerts). We also grab the BaseFileTypes.dat file from the list of files (which gives us a list of all the item bases, like coral ring, occultist's vestment, etc.), as well as mods.dat, tags.dat and stats.dat (I think all of which are used for showing the advanced tooltips and dps). I suck at finding it and usually rely on someone like Evozer or alucqrd to help me find it.

Guys, when PoE updates to a new version and HUD breaks I don't need PMs telling me it's broken. I also don't need GitHub issues opened telling me it's broken. You waste my time doing these things. A quick message in this thread is fine, if it's already been stated (it was within a few minutes of the patch), no need to repeat it. When it's fixed, there will be a new release version on GitHub and a post in here saying it's fixed.

It's not a matter of "somehow". It is a lot of work to actually keep it updated, so instead of complaining it would've been better to show some appreciation.

no, sit on your ass and wait like the rest of us. unless you know how to look for where they moved the file needed (it's only 1 according to the error i get) sit there and wait
