They should have let it be there for few more days, wonder how many people would have been banned then
Also perma ban here.

I understand the 72-hour bans but the perma-bans were probably a bit too harsh. I can see the 3k+ accounts that got a perma-ban never buying anything from them again.
permabanned. crafted probably about 50-60 using the mystic forge. a temp ban and items removed would have been a much more realistic choice on their part. oh well, i have appealed the ban and if it is not lifted i probably won't play gw2 ever again.
Appealed it too, if not i just Refund the Money (Creditcard), so they got nothing.
I wont play gw2 ever again too, if they dont change that harsh bans
yeah well they profit from each ban since there are no monthly fees they earn from, so you should have expected a harsh policy...
When is the ban starts? I can log in 2 hour ago
I just appealed as well, I advise others to do the same, 3000 accounts banned after 5 days of using the servers means Arenanet just earned an easy $180,000 if those people simply bought the regular version.
the bans are done out of profit stand points, not morals of any kind game wise or else monthly charging games that they own would be just as harsh. its scrupulous.
kripp just got banned **** THIS GAME
What did you guys honestly expect?
2 lv 80 characters with 190k karma got permanent banned =\
Also perma banned, this is why non-sub games are stupid. They can just outright ban 4k+ people for something they messed up on and there's no downside for them. At least 25% of those people will buy a new copy of GW2 and that's revenue that they're gaining again. If you're following the reddit discussion on this topic, the official arenanet account posted a bunch of times about it, then deleted all the posts and has been quiet now for 30+ minutes. I'm assuming they're being told to stop posting about it because it's making the community ask some questions that they don't want to answer. The fact they're making people post publicly on reddit to be named and shamed before getting a response about their ban shows a massive about of unprofessional behavior the likes of which I have never encountered in an MMORPG company. I won't be buying another copy of the game, I'd rather eat shit than give them another penny after this.
