Actually I think $30 is fairly cheap all things considered. Maybe you don't consider a bot worth $30 but plenty of people find that to be a steal.

Honorbuddy is 25$ lifetime, don't tell me 30$ for a bot being worked on and nowhere near polish for 1 year is cheap. I know they don't make a ffxiv bot but my point is they should have cheaper option for less time or fewer bots since NO ONE will use all their bots only maybe a few.

edit: Guarantee you would make more money making it cheaper, so many people holding back because it's the price of a game and you're the better option for ffxiv atm but that won't last for ever.

It takes most people about 5 mins to get setup. I uploaded a couple of videos showing how to set it up. Might take a look if you are having any setup issues. Made one for melee and one for ranged.
People are starting to upload patrols, but only for harvesting so far. It literally is as easy as pressing auto record, running a circle, clicking on add targets, selecting from a list and save. So pretty easy to make a patrol. Again the hotkeys are easy once you understand how they work, which is why I added some videos showing how its done.

If your char is jumping, you prob changed some of the default game settings for things like auto run,etc. You need to change them in viper too so viper knows what button is the run key.

Its not the best video, but hey I'm learning. What do you guys use for video capture and edit?

@armourine, check your auto run key in game and in viper.

Ok, that's most likely my problem. The first thing I do with any new game is rebind a and d to strafe and bind q, e, and r for my primary abilities, so that probably confused the bot. I'll give it another go, but a here's a few suggestions based on my limited time working with the bot:

1) let us change the priority, distance, delay of our combos. For someone new to the program it's very unforgiving of mistakes. I accidentally used the recast time for the delay of a dot so the bot just kept re-applying it without continuing the rotation. The only way to fix it was the delete the combo and recreate.
2) Think about removing the priority numbering system for combos altogether and just show all the combos in a list that we can move items up and down in. This would make it a TON easier to add combos as we level and get abilities.
3) Allow us to create combos that can be re-used. Right now my multi mob rotation is almost identical to my single target, having to re-enter the same things over and over is a pain.
4) Allow us to prioritize targets. The first thing I wanted to do was find a grind spot near where a fate spawns often, when the fate is up I'd like it to prioritize the fate targets if possible.
5) Allow us to set different resting % for mana or TP. My marauder will cast a heal out of combat and then just stand there waiting for full mana before continuing.

I passed on this cause of price...I got honorbuddy and that is seriously so worth it.

Plus I already got my DoL's to 35 each. My weaver/GSM/alchemist are capped at 50 already. Other than that bot is pointless especially at that price. I'll just manually level my classes through fates which is fast already with little work.

It's also super obvious spotting the botters right now.

@mcwhat, Yep this has been requested quite a bit in the past couple of days. Gonna over haul the hotkey system to make it much more robust, easier to use, and add a way to import/export profiles so that I can make some pre-defined class setups to share.

For 2, very good point. Not really need a priority system just move them up/down.

4. I have the fate flags, I agree, having priority flags on targets would help with fates, and for the other bots I support like being able to attack the most powerful mob first, etc. All very good suggestions. Give me a few day to see what I can do.

5. I already have TP added, just need to push out that fix.

- the UI is absolutly not intuitive
- the bot is only able to run in cercle, does not attack any monster

I do love me some Buddybots, holding multiple Lifetime subs, but the fact that they currently don't have public plans to make one for FF XIV ARR means that line of discussion is fairly irrelevant here.

Viper's bot does as advertised and isn't too hard to set up, especially now that he's started making tutorial videos for the different classes. He's also updating it once or twice daily, so while it's definitely a work in progress, it's demonstratively making progress. Of the options publically currently available for ARR, he's probably got the best product. What happens tomorrow or next week remains to be seen, and people can wait for that if they want, but for people looking to do things in the present, this isn't a horrible choice.

@Valinou, must not have watched the right video. You can setup line or circle paths. You have to enter the mobs you want to fight in the targeting section of the patrol. All described in the help videos.

@armourine, sounds like you have your auto run key something other than the default in game. So you need to check viper to make sure they are set to the same thing. Default in game I believe is the R key.

lower the price and shorten duration. I'm not paying 30.00 to try it. 15.00 for 6 months sure. 10.00 for 3 months sure. 5.00 for one month sure.
30.00 for a whole year? No thanks. I might not even play this game past the 30 days.

To bad both have such a high price, if im going to pay 30 for a year, i want a bot like the Buddyteam, since there i know what i get, when i pay for it.
Here i dont, 5 for a month would be oki to try it out, but pay 30 for a year and then notice it crap, no thanks

after hearing ppl getting banned for speedhacking and radar cheat.
Im not going to risk that on my CE account, you should make radar stand alone or something, seems like a big risk to implant it to the bot.

I have not heard of anybody getting banned for a radar, source? And viper doesnt have any speedhacks in it, so pretty safe there.
