[Barbs] Make fat stacks with Goldskin!

More of a trick than a true exploit. The idea is to buy a Goldskin armor which gives you a chance on hit for the monster to drop gold. Then, combine the armor with LOW dps weapons (preferably with life on hit) and spec for whirlwind. Make sure you have a decent amount of pickup radius on your gear. Go find a giant pack of weak mobs (demon imps at the beginning of Stonefort or groups of scorpions in Act 3 work well). Now go crazy whirlwinding your heart out and collecting the piles of gold that drop.

With low dps and high LOH, you won't kill the monsters very fast but you also won't die. Your Goldskin armor will proc all day and with enough pickup radius you shouldn't have to ever stop looting piles of gold.

haha nice idea! Have you tested it out to see how much gph you can get? It seems there is an internal cooldown so that may slow things down.. Curious to see the actual results/math behind it though. I'm gonna go test this out!

Haha Sounds cool i dont have a barb to try it though. I might try it with my sorc
I could also imagine going nm and have enough armor and life reg and just stand still for an hour and collect

There is about 30 seconds to the cooldown.

this has already been tested an proved to be a waste of time. Proc rate not only has a cooldown but it seems the gold dropped by GS is not affected by gold find. You'd make much more gph running core using goldskin for its 100% gf.

The barb has a skill that will also give you a chance to drop something. Have you tried this with the spiders that spawn from the towers and dont drop anything on death? If that worked then this would be a great way to afk farm.

sorry if this may seem dumb but i wonder if the goldskin ICD is per mob or per drop like mob 1/30 droped on hit so CD or can it be 30/30 dropped CD on eah individual mob?

it's per minute of use. not relating to any mob. Same rules the puzzle ring follow for goblins.
