A little about Minecraft:
Minecraft is a sandbox building game by Mojang Interactive but it was originally developed by Markus 'Notch' Persson alone in mid-2009. Notch states that it the game Infiniminer by Zachtronics Industries played a huge part in which direction Minecraft started out from. Since then, Minecraft has gone from strength to strength gaining followers and prestigious awards (Game of the Year award 2010 by PC Gamer UK) and 1.6 million units sold before the game has even been released. The game is currently in Beta stages and there are weekly updates adding small features and more materials to play with.
The whole map is generated randomly and can be up to 8 times larger than the World. There are two modes currently, Creative and Survival; In Creative mode you have the opportunity to build and modify terrain as you wish, using commands to level whole areas flat quickly and instantly. In Survival Mode however, day and night is added. In the day it is relatively quiet and you can only be harmed by falling, burning or drowning. In the night however, you must fight for your life against hordes of zombies, spiders, skeletons and creepers, who explode if they manage to get close to you. Each night brings more struggles as you hastily forage and scavenge for materials to build you shelter in this never-ending world.
As time goes on, your small shelter from the dangerous night expands as you require more from it. Soon, before you know it, you have a complex house with elaborate systems to ensure that the monsters are the ones that will die in the night. Your shiny armor gives you confidence to go out in the night and hunt your previous tormentors. You become the most powerful being in the world... of Minecraft.

The MMOwned Minecraft Server
Due to popular demand, we have decided to set up our own server for Minecraft, paid for jointly by KuRIoS and eXp0 for the first month, which we thank generously. It is a playground for your creative flair, a haven for you to spend your time, and a great way to talk and play with other members of the site! The server accepts both non-legal clients and the legal client, which can be bought here. The IP of the server is 46.37.184.250 and you will be required to use the command "/register <Password>" on your first login to save your progress when you log out. This is to increase security of your account and prevent people changing their name to yours to control you.
Recently, I caught up with Fub0aX, one of our server's first donators for a discussion about Minecraft in general, and about MMOwned's server. Here's what he had to say.
In conclusion, Minecraft is an extremely player reliant game. Many of the boundaries are not in the game itself, but in the imagination of the player. There truly is no end to the fun as you can hunt monsters inbetween devising elaborate collection mechanisms, or even an automatic monster killer so you don't have to roam around for them, even highly complex electrical circuits can be created with the use of the material Redstone Dust. The world is in your hands!
Recently, I caught up with Fub0aX, one of our server's first donators for a discussion about Minecraft in general, and about MMOwned's server. Here's what he had to say.

Fub0aX - No problem
Facerolling - So how long have you been playing Minecraft for, what made you start playing Minecraft, and what keeps you playing today?
Fub0aX - Something like 2 months now, I really don't know what gave me the spark to start it, probably all the threads about it on the internet with pictures of all the neat stuff people have built. As for what keeps me playing it, well... It's addictive for one, you can build anything you want and share it with your friends.
Facerolling - Indeed, the things some people create are of titanic proportions! What would you say is your most favourite aspect of the game and what would you like to see be improved to the game in general?
Fub0aX - I don't really know.. The game itself is just awesome. Creating replicas of some neat looking things would be my most favourite aspect, but if I would get to improve one specific thing, then that would be the Physics, if you build a house in real life, you would have to plan it with supports so that it does not collapse. I would love to see that ingame, with big mansions and such.
Facerolling - For the MMOwned server in particular, what is your favourite thing about it?
Fub0aX - The community on the server is what keeps me there, everyone helps if you ask for it; except for a certain somebody who loves to plant bombs in peoples basements

Fub0aX - Hmm, probably a means to travel far distances. Runecraft for a example.
Facerolling - Finally, In the upcoming Beta 1.4 Update, there will be tameable wolves added to the game, as well as achievements. Do you think these changes will improve the game or make the game worse?
Fub0aX - Well, I can't see how achievements or wolves would make it worse, at least you can aim for something if you cant think of anything to do
