First of all a huge thanks for the effort, contribution and patience you have put into this!

I have succesfully installed on the official MoP prepatch the addon and guides work good so far for 1-85.

I only have a small question which i think i know the answer but i cannot say for certain. Maybe someone else has stumbled upon this.
I am also playing on private server on MoP (stormforge) and tried to load the addon with different versions and it wouldnt load at all. I tried the version 4.2.6 (from the everlook zip folder - which i know is intended for TBC) and the addon UI loaded the placeholders but they were green and black (probably something had crashed).

I don't expect the same rxpguides version that works on the official classic to work on the private of the same xpac ofcourse but has anyone found a way to load rxpguides on MoP private servers? Or if there's another similar addon for those times?

This is likely due to the private server's MoP game files. I play on WoTLK Private Server Warmane, using the latest version of RXPGuides, and it works wonderfully.

Not much work at all, it will be posted when it is ready.

Seeing people like to mislead when it comes to this.

People claim from "trusted sources" that the guides were full 2 weeks ago.
Not even true because they have been updated a few times.

Also only 2 days ago "Turn-In Guide is Now Available". But people claim from their trusted sources it was done 2 weeks ago.
So people say 1 thing and the devs that make it say something else.

Also when people were given the file, they disabled the mop guides because it conflicted with the cata ones.
Then they complain that the mop guides were not there (after they disabled them).

Hey man, I just downloaded the zip for classic and it's giving me an error on windows 11 essentially saying the .rar is invalid when trying to extract. Any idea why this might be? sorry if I'm being dumb here. Not sure whats going on.

Use another application to unzip such as 7-Zip. The native Windows 11 extractor will give you that error.

Sorry I don’t want a beat a dead horse and I know it’s probably been asked but I’ve scrolled like 15 pages and I haven’t seen it: do the 85-90 guides populate with the newest update? I’ve used your guides since BC and it’s usually been fine the way I install it but this time around it’s not showing. I cleared the SavedVariables, I deleted both RXP and Leveling addon folders as well as the .lua and the .lua.bak files prior to installing. I also used the current CurseForge addon install as the base addon and ticked it to ignore updates. I just want to make sure I’m not going crazy since my guilds come to me for the updates and I wrote them an install / update guide so they’d stop bothering me individually. Thank you for your continued support sir

If you look 6 posts above yours, you will see that Blue said they would be released when they are ready.

Why would you tick to ignore updates? So you do not want to use the latest addon?

According to their official Disc server because someone asked there, the Dev himself said they’re just not active because the max level hasn’t been set to 90 yet, meaning that the guides are in there the addon is just smart enough to not show the tabs until that is the case. That’s what I was asking. I know it’s still being updated. I just don’t care to update it past the fact that once it’s working it’ll work until it doesn’t and then I come back here to re update it. I’ve been doing this since BC. I DL it, get it working, and I don’t touch it until the next pre-patch and it’s never not worked the entire time. I literally come to this thread once or twice a year.

You can update the addon as much as you like

I agree with you.

Shows that peoples "trusted source" was completely not true.

Their "trusted source" says one thing and the Devs that make it says something else but true.
