So why do people not do this and my post says?
The up to date way > Install my file. Backup the guides folder. Update the addon with curse/wowup or something else. Paste back in the guides folder and you are always up to date
Instead they take the file say nothing.
When it does not work, they say something.
Did you back it up as I told you to? No
Instead they take the file and say nothing.

Well if people backed up the guides as my post said, it would not have happened.

I downloaded the file for SoD and followed the instructions, pasted, updated, etc but the guide only goes up to lvl 22?

What did you extracted with and where to?
The reason I say that is because people keep extracting the file in the wrong location.
Intentionally not updating their software ever and using an old software on a new file.
But if they had it before, they never delete the same variables either.

I extracted with 7zip.
Downloaded restedxp with curse, pasted your file into the guide folder, updated restedxp on curse.

Downloaded restedxp with curse, pasted your file into the guide folder, updated restedxp on curse.. Then you did not follow my instructions then?
Downloaded restedxp with curse, pasted your file into the guide folder, updated restedxp on curse, pasted your file into the guide folder
I said and I quote "RXP easy update > Backup the guides folder > update the addon how you prefer > copy guides folder back."
Instead what you did was RXP easy update > Backup the guides folder > update the addon how you prefer > did not copy the guides back

Well according to you
Downloaded restedxp with curse, pasted your file into the guide folder, updated restedxp on curse.
That means you updated and did not copy the guides back.
Did you delete the saved variables?

Well I do see your point.
But the addon is for speed leveling only, and only for the best route.
It is not for loremaster ect.
But I do wonder if people could turn another addons guides in to this addon with ChatGPT.
But I do have old files, so might be able to add them back.

Thank you! I've tried doing that by editing xml files and placing old guides, but no luck.

What xml files? Cannot guides back, without having the guides in the first place.
If someone could use AI to convert one addon guides to this format. Then would be easy to import.

I've had the guides from back when you posted them for wrath classic. I've tried to place them in the Guides folder, then adding their names and location in GuideList-mainline.xml file and GuideList.xml files.

Great point and I agree with you.
I would do the same thing. So probably needs a quick fix to make them show in the client.
