Sup, first off Glitchy thanks much for making this.
I tried the WDB model swapper but when I load my itemcache.wdb in enGB the whole ''From'' window is empty, even tried loading my armory profile but doesn't work, any help appriciated(spelling?)
EDIT: Also, it worked with older versions(when the window was more simple)
EDIT: Fixed it, had to load WoWtest itemcache which showed up, then the normal one, dunno how, Model editing ho!

The race-to-race works fine! But omg annoying - the .WDB editing doesn't work for me :/ when i do a swap, nothing happens.. and yes, I use MEF :P
Anyone have any ideas of why this may be happening?

Hello all. As is evident by the user title, I haven't really (if ever) posted here. But I suppose I've found cause to change that.

So, in that respect. I've read through all 542 posts in the thread and thus far I haven't come across what exactly to do when a patch comes out. My model changes and such worked perfectly as intended, and for that I give much praise to Glitchy.

However, since he's out on extended leave I open this question to the rest of the community. The following are the steps I took and the problems I encountered after 2.4 was relesed today:

    1) Removed all my personal mpq files from the data folder.
    2) Patched 2.4
    3) Created a new list in Glitchy's MES for race-to-race.
    4) Created new mpq files for all model changes.
    5) Edited previous blp files into new mpq files via MyWarcraftStudio. (To fix skin issues)
    6) Put new mpq files with pre-patch blp file modifications in Data folder.
    7) Launched WoW via WoWME.exe
Encountered critical error, read as such:

This application has encountered a critical error:
    ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
    Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:AC554C30
The instruction at "0xAC554C30" referenced memory at "0xAC554C30".
The memory could not be "written".

    WoWBuild: 8089

    9) Removed new mpq files from Data folder.
    10) Launched WoW via standard executable.
    11) No problems followed. Models reverted to standard.

Now, I mentioned that I used blp files I extracted from the pre-patch common.mpq in the new mpq files I created post-patch. While I doubt that would have been cause for the issue, I figured that it wouldn't hurt to mention it just incase.

The other issue I thought might be the case was the MEF. I'm unfamiliar with whether or not these need to be updated after patches, but it seems to me that this could be the case. A confirmation on that would be highly appreciated.

And there it is. Sorry if the post was a tad long, I didn't want to leave out too much. Much thanks for any help. =)

You need to wait for a New 2.4 MEF to come out

That was answered literally two posts above yours.

    But yes, yes you do.

EDIT: Actually, if I'm not mistaken, weapons and armor don't require the MEF to work properly. You might have done something wrong.

I'm guessing that means skins are gonna require the next MEF then.

    sigh...

its pretty amazing how simple this program is to use.
I started considering model/skin changes less than an hour ago & ive already gotten new mounts, armor & weapons and some cool new spells!

Yes, skins (such as race-to-race) would require an MEF compatible with 2.4.

How long that may take, I don't really know.

itemcaches built in 2.4 appear to be written differently than in previous versions. For instance the item is now listed only once as opposed to the former 3 times. So MES is going to have problems converting items since it is not parsing the data correctly anymore.

Can still do things manually.. just figured I'd post a general fyi.
