    Woa, I became contributor xD

So folks. Day 6 is over. Whats new?
First of all I managed to solve some main issues that I thought would brake my neck. So far so good.
The obj "reader" got written. Yes, since OBJ is a huge bitch and I dont like alien code in my project, the wheel had to be re-invented. Also some test scripts got made. In taliis I discovered, that if u dont test
your own code it will never work.

    Code:
Tintai WMO 0.1 (c) 2011 by Tharo Herberg

    File:	C:\TEMP\files\RedRidge_human_farm.obj
    ------------------------
    | Vertexies:	4719
    | Normals:	4719
    | TextCoord:	3146
    | Surfaces:	3534
    | Used Sfaces::	3534
    | Total:	3534
    | Textures:	13
    | Batches:	22
    | Groups :	2

    File:	C:\TEMP\files\RedRidge_human_farm.wmo
    ------------------------
    | Vertexies:	4719
    | Normals:	4719
    | TextCoord:	3146
    | Surfaces:	3864	(1288)
    | Materials:	1288
    | Render Surf:	3534
    | Textures:	13
    | Batches:	22
    | Groups :	2

    Passed! 100%
Okay. Some of you asked for test models ... and I changed my mind. Yes, I would like if you send in some test models
But please keep an eye to the following limitations - more is Tîntai not able to handle. And I dont wish to clean up test models. Then i could just do them myself in the first place.

    Test Model Howto
    1. The Model have to be in OBJ format!
    2. Some limitations: Less than 10k vertexies, more than 4 and less than 15 textures, no doodads, no invisible surfaces, only one mesh group
    3. Technical limitations: Every surface have to be in the present group, every surface need to have a material texture
    4. IMPORTANT The obj have to be "straight" and "flat". Every Vertex/Normal/Texture coordinate in a surface needs to be an equal index. Download the house model from above and check the 'f' entrys to see what I mean.
    5. No tits or penises -.-"

The Winner/s (everyone thats model get used) gains access to the first working Tîntai Beta. In other words: He gains the Right to use the tool way before it get relased.

I wonder if anyone would send in something xD

Any way you can explain "straight" and "flat" and equal stuff in part 4 a bit more precise? It really confused me. I think i get it, but i'm not sure :P
Anyway, is there a way i can contact you(Skype, MSN ect.)?

Got a few old models that I've made over the time.

    (Yeah, its my signature mirrored)

No Problem. All "f" statements need to habe equal number. Thats the way how WMO works and I dont want to write a formating tool (as least not right now)

    f.e.:
    f 8/8/8 2/2/2 64/64/64
    f 9/9/9 1/2/3 99/99/99

Since I'd be exporting from lightwave, I have a few technical questions- first of all, will you be able to calculate normals if I don't include them? Second, not entirely sure what you mean about statements.

Seconding a request for contact info^_^

Well, it isn't a matter of work so much as that not all exporters properly handle them. I've had trouble with exporting normals out of lightwave in the past so that's why I asked.

[IMGR]http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg40/scaled.php?server=40&filename=tintai.png&res=medium[/IMGR]Okay ... sooner or later the first real problem HAD to come up.
Its about the colligion in the MOBN and the MOBR Chunks.

Okay. BSP is not my major topic. But BSP is more about how to orginisize spaces. I just have absolute NO clue how to "take" the Values from MOBR. Sadly it is absolute necessary for me to understand it in order to make colligion export/import and WMO's Working.

So if anyone have an idea how to take it . Or a friend that is familiar with BSP or other colligion models. OR a friend that is just a 3D genius: Well. Im stuck. Need help. asap :/

    Solved.

I just want to remember, that nobody had send in test models so far. This means, that on the end of this week nobody will become the wmo2obj.exe. Sad sad

Okay what else. Well yes as you can guess Tintai supports colligion extraction (since now) and is only a tiny step in front of have the first import function working. The sad message is, that tintai is still lvl 23 since I dont have time to play her atm :/

I will try to have a test object for you shortly; I have not had much computer time and have been working on a movie for Blizzcon.
