Hey everyone
There are many different mountain styles and steps. In this tutorial, I will teach you how to create a Howling Fjord themed mountain.
*Note: I used Noggit 1.3 in this tutorial.
Alright, let's begin.
Select "Raise/Lower" and "Smooth". Raise your Brush Radius to 20-30.
Raise three small things, everyone being of different size. Now it should look something like this.

Next, switch over to "Flatten/Blur" and select "Linear". Use Shift+RMB on top of the area to make it flat but mouldy. Then use CTRL+RMB on the sides to make it a little rounder. You should have something that looks like this now.

Lower your Brush radius to 5-15. Go to the sides and use Shift+RMB on a couple of places to get a few flat areas on the sides.

I marked it out with red to make it a little clearer.

Now we can let the texturing (painting) begin.
Hit "U" to enter 2D mode and easier texturing. Think a little, what do you want your mountain style to be? Desert-like? Forest-like? Snow-like?
I will pick snow in this tutorial. Load the necessary BLP's and select some good stone texture for your sides.

Now lower your Radius to something around 4 and your Hardness and Pressure to 0.19. OPTIONAL: Lower Brightness/Darkness. Now begin texturing the sides. DO NOT TEXTURE THE FLAT AREAS.
A good tip for this is to press F7 to see chunk and ADT lines.

Great, now we can start working on the flat areas. Enter 2D mode and select whether you want something snowy, grassy or perhaps dirty, I don't know, it's your choice. I will pick snowy in this tutorial. Keep your radius at 4.0 and the Hardness and Pressure at 0.19.
Now lower the Brightness/Darkness to somewhere around the middle to get a little darker look on it.
OPTIONAL: After adding the dark textures, you can lower your brush radius and add some brighter textures at some spots.

A useful thing I noticed: If you go for making something snowy, pick snow as your base texture.
There you go, now you have your own Fjord-styled mountain!
Hope this helps!
