Got the WDT file in there and it's still not working. I didn't use any WDT files when i was messing around under Ogrimmar either. I think i'll just have to rebuild it.

ANy idea what's wrong with taliis? No water option as seen in the picture in my previous post.

Hm.. you could be missing some files. Post a shot of all contents in your Taliis folder.

As for the problem with your .adts, it's difficult to pin-point the cause of this issue. You could indeed rebuild, I only wish there was some other way to fix this.. :\

-I gave up, i tried again to edit something on the coast of Durotar, made some of the ground higher and added some different textures, and getting the wow-error ingame again once i approach my land.

-Here's a picture of my Taliis folder, I tried to make it as clear as possible and show everything in every folder, hope you understand my picture and imba-paint-skillz.

Aha, it seems you have the older version with jogl (which I haven't gotten to work myself). Try downloading this one and tell me if you get the water option to appear I don't know what else to say about the landscape errors, unfortunately I'm sorry.

I've gotten yias to work, but it still won't let me open up new ADT's. Anyone else got this working?
Oh and you may have to download a new version of wowmodelviewer

Ok I have a problem with adding objects again.

So I am using this path World\Khazmodan\passivedoodads\trees\ironforgepine01.mdx and I click Doodad Files and add it. I then go to Appearing Doodads and nothing comes up when i hit the + button. Using tile 53 33. But when i use tile 34 13 the object is added.

    Any idea?

Hm.. I honestly have no idea why that would happen Did you do anything to the .adt that you think might cause this?

couldn't you just place the file into the ADT that works and then copy it?

You COULD, but it causes problems even doing it a few times. .ADTs can become corrupt and you'll be worse off than before.

can i convert the files into an mpq even if i didn't create new ADT's? would I have to do it differently at all? I just don't wanna do loads of work and then not be able to use it.

I'm not sure if I quite follow you but I assume you are asking if you can simply put some other edited files in an .mpq? The answer is yes, as long as the treepath for the edited file is the same as the original (as it is with every file, including .ADTs).

What i meant is, I'm having trouble with new ADT's, so I've started editing an existing unused area on the map, but I don't want to edit loads of stuff just to have to start from scratch because I can't put it into a .mpq.

edit: I figured out what the white light was on the new ADT's in noggit: water. All water shows up like that on noggit.
Also, I still cannot get yias edit to find my new ADT's. Any tips?

Yias looks for them in the "Save" folder. If you don't have it (which you should), it won't run because it also contains the AreaTable.dbc file. Anyway, if you DO have it, copy the "World" folder from your WoW directory and paste it into the Save folder. This should allows you to see your creation in the editor (it won't show anything in the selection map, you will have to click on a co-ordinate that exists for your .ADTs [basically, if I had an .ADT located in 52, 41, I would click on the co-ord 52, 41]).

yes i have a save folder, no it doesnt contain AreaTable.dbc file... when i went in game to an existing ADT i edited an existing ADT and it showed up in the correct treepath in the save folder, but I still can't access my new ADT's. seems like I'll be stickin with noggit for now.

Edit: is there any way to despawn all objects in certain ADT's? I've taken some Nagrand ADT's, and am going to morph some of the camps into one of my camps, but deleting all the items one at a time is really annoying.
Also, What about despawning shadows? they don't seem to despawn when i delete the items.
