Glad you guys could find use in this guide, and I appreciate the rep! If anyone has any suggestions on any new guides, by all means tell me and I'll do my best to make them of the same quality as this one (if not better!)

Is there another way to find objects? Because when i open WoW model viewer it says
"this version of WoW Model Viewer only supports Wrath of the Lichking installations"

When i do have Wotlk.

If you have multiple version of WoW, WoWmodelviewer could perhaps be looking at the wrong version. You can change the path it looks at by going to the userSettings folder within the WoWmodelviewer folder and opening Config.ini. There you should find local and settings and such. Change the "Path=" to where ever your WoW installation resides. Otherwise, I'm not sure of any other ways you can find objects (other than reinstalling WoWmodelviewer).

Whataflux?

Okay so I made a island of the coast of Tirisfall, kinda a ''northern point'' textured, molded, and saved all tiles. But when I re-opened Nogg-it, all the water in that tile was gone? Why does this happen?

edit: Also epic guide, helped me alot! +Rep

Noggit is known to delete water. Water should only be added at the end of an edit.

Yeah I tried doing that last night, and I realised I was using the wrong path so I am putting in hopefully the correct path now.

When i open WoWME i get an error
"run-time error 339:
Component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."
I'm redownloading the online package now, and if it works, you may want to look at the offline file you uploaded to rapidshare.

Edit: redownloading didn't work, but running as administrator did. You may want to add this in your guide

I am having trouble with yias edit. I've installed directx but i still can't see terrain or textures; i just get a gray box. This is turning out to be extremely annoying to set up

The first time i tried this, i got the little box on the overview of noggit, but then as soon as i double clicked on it, it crashed. Since then, i have redownloaded the whole package at least 3 times, i've tried downloading only noggit, installed directx, but it just doesn't work, and I really would love some help.
When i open noggit, and i double click on the area i want to edit, it says loading, and then about 1.5 secs later it says:
noggit3.exe has stopped working

I've repaired wow, and I got my ADT's to show up on the first screen, but noggit crashes when i select the new adt's. Could it be because I'm using win7?

I would like to try yias edit, but the texture and terrain all show up gray, like this:

And when i click on where my ADT's should be, nothing happens.

I've downloaded directX, but I'm not sure I've installed it correctly.

I would love any help at all, if I could get this running i would be thrilled and i'll <3 you forever

Well I think Taliis owned me somehow. I found the gameobject i wanted and did as the guide says with Taliis. I than re-open NoggIt and there is no .adts from where i put them.

I think i might start again. ^_^

Edit: I got 3 doodads into Noggit. But they are all the same object, when they should be 3 different objects. I have used your tree and a booty bay tree and also this World\Azeroth\bootybay\passivedoodad\deadfish\fishrack.mdx using tile 34 13. I have no idea why they look the same.

I had this, running w7 64bit.
Got around it by right clicking the nogg exe, properties, compatability tab, tick the run as box, choose windows xp service pack 3 and apply, then it ran fine.
Hopefully sorts that problem out.

After that thought, im stuck.
I get my island created and stuff from the things, but its just a huge white square area, can texture i assume using the U hotkey and painting it, but as soon as you go back out of that, the whole area is a brilliant white again.
None of the raise/lower tools seem to work on it, kinda annoying, was hoping to have some fun.
But i guess not until i find out why that happens, or what im missing.

Thanks for the guide though, was handy until i got stuck with my own problem.
