Hi there. Thanks a lot for this guide, awesome. I'm trying to convert HuM > ScM but i get to that part where i have to copy the m2, skin and anim files, and i cant see any of them on the folder. Is it normal not to have them in the folder or am i doing something wrong ? Cheers (:
Thanks for the Guide
But I have a problem. I tried to change HuF -> ScM.
At the Moment it looks like this.

Very well explained.
+rep, fosho.
Amazing tutorial! I couldn't get it working myself, but I think it was the fact that my .MPQ files that I extracted from weren't the same as yours. For example, you said to use common.MPQ, patch.MPQ, and "patch2.MPQ". Well, my "patch-2.MPQ" (different names, but it was probably just a typo on your part) didn't have the Character or Head folders, it just had one folder called world. I then opened up common-2.MPQ, that one had the rest of the files. The only problem was that file had TWO Character folders, one was named Character and the other was named CHARACTER. Anyway, when I finished the tutorial, I still had the model of a male Tauren but with female Night Elf skins lol.
I ended up just downloading your patch-Z.MPQ, then I edited it so my male Tauren could have the correct female Night Elf skin color, face, facial features, hair color, and hair style. Oh man, it took a long time comparing it with MyWarCraftStudio, figuring out which .blp's were the right color, figuring out what was the number of my horn style CharSections.dbc, etc. Anyway, the painstakingly long process is finally over, and I can't be any more satisfied with myself, and you of course. The only problem is, if any male Taurens (which I model changed to female Night Elves) are showing their helmet, the hair sticks through it. I thought it might have been bad editing on my part, so I loaded up your original patch-Z.MPQ, and the problem was there too.
I can't figure out which line calls for the right hair when showing helmets, so mind lending me a hand? Thanks!
[EDIT]
Also, +rep!
I've been sitting here for hours now trying to get this too work. But I just can't get it to work. If anyone does a flawless Nightelf female to tauren female. I'll give you 250g on the server Outland or Jaedenar. Thanks in advance.
I keep getting 1kb files, I'm blaming open office. Would love some help
Edited one number in the file and it went to 1kb when making it a dbc file again, yawn.
OpenOffice hates it?
