    [Request] Old poison animation.

Before patch 2.1, the poison proc would make green in your hands and your character would be like 'casting'. I'd like to know if this is possible to do.

    Note:

The animation is not in the MPQs anymore, they're on the last patches.

P.S.: Sorry about the double thread, but it's because the other wasn't tagged properly.

    Thank you!

    [Request] Old poison animation.

The only way Currently possible to do this is download an old version of wow update it to a patch before 2.1 goto the patch.mpq extract your race out of it. This would have all the old animations in it. Then all you would have to do is put it back in. If you can get your hands on your race .m2 file that is pre 2.1 patch i can make you a mpq or tell you how to make one.

Only problem is. if there are new animation after 2.1 they wont be in your model.

Alright, thank you for the answer. However, I have one question. I am currently using a Female Night elf --> Male Undead race swap. If I use my head, I have to get the undead one, right?

    Thanks again.

Yes You would. To get the file simply open Patch.mpq in My Warcraft Studio(find link on forums) and navigate to

    "CHARACTER\SCOURGE\Female\ScourgeFemale.m2"
    or
    CHARACTER\SCOURGE\MALE\ScourgeMale.m2

and extract that file by right clicking on it

Alright - re-installing WoW as I type this post.

I just want to make sure. Do you need the extracted files when I right-click and click on 'Extract' (I guess that's what it says), update it and give it to you? Or I'll simply need to re-place my undead.MPQ with the animation with the one that I extracted?

    Thanks again.

Edit (2): Nevermind, I tried to extract some random animations, and I noticed it extracted as a .m2, and not a MPQ. I'll update (or I'll stop being lazy and check for a guide, and if I screw up I'll update it for you :P)it right when I come back from work (Going in about 30 minutes)

I've been looking around with the animations, in the patches before 2.1, and I noticed there's nothing about the poison procs.

The poison procs are from Rogue's poison when they proc'd, they made green in your hand you were like casting a spell, all I see in the animations are about walking/moving/attacks... Oh well, there's the .m2.

    Edit: That's from Common.MPQ

The poison proc has always been the same. However before poison procs and gouge triggered the "SpellCastDirected" animation for whatever reason. They don't anymore, not sure if you'd be able to change that.

Thanks for trying, but may I suggest something?

From this thread that I made before (Wasn't tagged properly), 0megear suggested this:

On the actual version of World of warcraft this animation is deleted.
I reinstalled my old 1.12 and there i found old animation of the poisons (4 files)

I tried to simply copy past them from 1.12 to the actual version but there is no more proc. It seems incompatible but i may missed something.

    I miss that time too...

****ing blizzard who nerf things that doesn't need nerf.
If someone can do something about this, it would be great

I'm pretty sure that we can get the little animation back simply by finding how to apply an animation to our HAND when the poison proc because there is a file called "Nature_Cast_Hand.m2" (and also "Banish_chest.m2") wich look like exactly like when our poisons used to proc (you know, the little bubbles on our hand).

To see this animation, just donwload "WoW MODEL Viewer" and open your Common.mpq -> SPELLS -> Nature_Cast_Hand.m2 / Banish_chest.m2

If someone know how to modify M2 information to tell a %animation to launch when proc then we will get our poison animation back

    Sincerly,

It's weird that every poison are procing on this version. I remplaced the 2.3.2 COMMON.MPQ by the 2.0.8 one, and it did not crash.

But no proc poison. Maybe the thing is located on Patch.MPQ, or Base.MPQ, i don't know really i think if i really get it back it will be by luck.

Would be great if someone could help us.

    From http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...ison-proc.html

I do not know how to do this, and I am not sure if this can be done, but I guess you can tell us if this is something that can be model edited or not.

    Thanks!

    Edit: Forgot a quote.
