    [Question (Advanced ME) ]

    Hi everyone out there ,
i just have a question which is a little bit for expert/advanced model editors but if anyone else can help it would be ok too

    So here we go...

I have a little "project" in my mind and i want to release it, if it's done...
But i haven't got any idea how i can go on, because i got stucked. I will describe it now...
So.. i wanna change the UD female animation (1h special) with the UD male one(same name).
I know, how to change the animation ID's itselfes, but the animation of the female one, is just in the UD female M2 file. The animations name of the UD male is exactly the same, but it's another animation which could be replaced (confirmed by schlumpf ;-) ). My problem is, that i don't know any programm which can "pull out" the female animation and then replace the male one with that animation.

If anyone could help me with this, u can add me in icq(275681001) or write in this thread.

    greetings Fîre

Shouldn't it be possible to take the animationbones from the male undead and put them on the female model and then inject it?

I don't know :> but i think it should be the other way around...because i want the male to jump like the female..and if u take the bones of the male on the female i think it would'nt work because the animation is another one(male).

    but just how i think

you can do just about anything if you hex edit the file. I am not a hex expert and cant help you much. sorry. It sounds to me like it would take allot of time to do it.

Hmm...I am extremely skeptical that it is possible to swap animations between models. To actually transfer the raw data is surely possible for someone who knows how to program, but whether the data does anything is a different story. I don't know the details of WoW's animation system but a standard way of storing animations is to store the transformation of each bone each frame. Thus, if the bones are ordered differently between the models, or if one model has more bones than the other (for example, the bones which animate the female undead's breasts) then I can't imagine it working at all.

I know this isn't really helpful, but basically I'd say that unless you are willing to spend some serious hours slaving over a hot compiler with no certainty that what you are doing is even possible I'd not even bother with this venture.
