Help with Troll-> Human [Pics included]

So i'm using

patch-8.mpq - FileFront.com

as my troll-> human (both males)
however, when i load my game it's coming up with this as my face


My other skin (torso, arms, legs) load fine and trolly color and stuff, it's just my face. I've heard this problem is because the starting race (human in my case) has more face variations than the trolls. If thats the case, how can I fix it?

you forgot to change .m2 file aswell, you apparently only changed texture files

Nah cuz everything but my face is troll colored and skinned correctly :| Like I have blue skin and textured muscles where I should and eveyrthing, it's just the neck up thta i have human textures, i guess my Screenshot doesn't show it very well though.

You must rename the m2 or the face to show up right, the m2 is the model file, so it is trying to put a human skin on a troll face, not a human face, so swap the troll m2 with a human m2, and that should make it better.

Oh oops its the wrong direction. I'm trying to turn my Human Mage to appear to be a Troll mage. Regardless though, I have redone it several times with the same result of a human face on a troll model.

Everything is properly named, however, I have noticed in the character select screen that while on the Human Male and flipping through the faces, 8 textures are human textures, while 4 of them are proper troll textures. This is because trolls have less face variations than the humans do. Humans have 12, trolls have 4.

I know the problem, my face is one of the eight that is being referred back to the human textures, because there aren't troll textures to replace them. I would guess I would have to make artifical new troll textures that are just copies of the other troll textures, so that it would match up. However, I wouldn't really know how to begin with this, and I'd appreciate if someone with experience with this problem could give me some pointers.
