Weapon/Armor Change visible in Characterscreen??

Hi Guys
when i change the model of my gear or weapons i have still the old gear in the characterscreen (but not ingame) and thats *** me off
does anybody have an idea how to fix that?

Are you doing cache edits? Don't remember exactly but I think those only go into effect ingame. Could try it with dbc/file swaps.

Why you would care, though, is beyond me...

thought about editing .dbc already, but dunno what file..
maybe itemdisplayinfo.dbc, but here are files like "Shoulder_Leather_A01..." and no itemnames like "wrathful gladiators...."

cool thing..but where the *** does modelviewer export all these files? they arent in the "export" folder Oo please help

yeah i tried that method, i searched in the "items.csv" and found as example my shoulders "51581,4,Titan-Forged Shoulderplates of Salvation" and the shoulder i want "51473,4,Wrathful Gladiator's Ornamented Spaulders", but when i search the id's in the Dbc editor, im finding stuff like "INV_Gaunlets" or "Plate_Northrend_Glove..." or at the wrathful shoulder "Plate_Deathknight..." (the first 5 columns are empty: field 1-5).. does this have anything to do with the shoulderplates i have or want?

Not sure where the gauntlets came from but the DK plate shoulders makes sense I guess. Make sure you're searching the right column for ID's.

yeah its weird..i searched in the right column and i was after that looking for the 1h sword "seethe" and found something like "1h mace" which isnt really correct, cause its not a mace...

Seethe does look kind of like a mace, though. Maybe they changed their minds before it got in the game. Have you actually tried an edit yet?

Actually, I discovered with the newest version of model viewer, it actually CAN export both models and BLPs- however, any alpha channels the BLP might have get a little goofed up.

I downloaded the newest one here: WoW WOTLK Model Viewer - Download here Anything that is exported from it will be under X:\Program Files\World of Warcraft Model Viewer\Export (X being the letter of your hard drive- usually C)

well, the problem with that WOWMW version is, that i cant find the wotlk armor/weapon files..there just files like "[UNUSED]****" or "UnseenNPC****" and the skins of the characters are black, so no texture...

Hmm. They should be in there. I have it opened right now actually, which weapons are you looking for?

Edit: You're looking for the wrathful gladiator's stuff? What class?
