[Question] Model Swapping error

Hey, i tryed to model swap my imp into a dragon and this is what happened.




I have tryed different models and everything and it just makes a huge blob. it looks as if the animations are staying its just the model that is swapping. How can i fix this? thx.

Your explanation is a little bit vague. How did you make this change? Was it swapping the .M2's or did you do it through CreatureDisplayInfo.DBC?

If you swapped the .M2 files then my guess is that you didn't also swap the .SKIN files for the model.

If you don't swap in the DBC then you need to swap the skin, M2 and blp files.

thanks for the replies. i have only worked with skins before this so i am nub. i only swapped the .m2 file. so i need to swap it in the CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc file or is it a different DBC file.

It's fairly easy to turn your imp into a dragon in CreatureDisplayInfo.DBC, but unless you wanted every imp in the game to be a dragon, you'd need to pinpoint the specific row containing the fields related to the warlock imp minion.

doing this will turn your warlock's imp into a dragon, but will also change every creature and NPC in the game that uses the imp's model. It's easier but further defining it in the DBC files to swap only specific models might be the thing you're looking for.

i played around with it a bit and finally figured it out, thanks for helping me find my error.
