Question: Model Swap

I have the model editing programs all set up and sweet, and I have a re-colouring guide, but I was wondering how I do a model SWAP and recolour, so I can say, swap a lion for a cougar, and re-colour the eye. Can someone give me some instructions for this please?

Swap the .m2s and modify the new models .blp. Pack them all into a patch and there you go.
