    [Question] Model swap w/o WowME

    My question(in the topic name)...
Is there any way to do a model swap (i wanna do BloodElf male to Tauren) without WowME??(talking about 3.0.9 of course...)

i was thinking maybe backing up one of the files already being run by WoW and editing them... idk.. or if jsut adding the file like patch-3.mpq still works... (which if it did would seem a little silly to have wowME int eh first place... unless i misunderstand the function of it)

I've tried just makingthe patch-3.mpq file and it doesn't seem to change anything... i want to make sure that it should work before i investigate why it's not working...

I realize that WowME is a safe program to use and all... but its always gonna be in the back of my mind... i don't like the sound of it... and i don't wanna take the risk for something that is merely cosmetic...

I looked at ubermonkey's guide... he doesn't say anything about using wowME so idk if that is a guide to not using wowME or if it's just a globally recognized rule that you're going to have wowME and be using it.

    Thanks for any help

**((below is unrelated to the actual question))**
I searched for an answer both on google and this forum and i couldn't find anything...I'm actually surprised nobody else had this question recently it seems (to me) to be something that would have annoyed you guys... that or maybe they all get deleted idk... sorry if this is answered somewhere and i just missed it....

    If you use this wowme:
    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-p...-edit-fix.html
there will be no problem with it.
But if you don't want to use wowme then you can't use your modeledits and that is you problem i don't care about that.
    And a warning:
If you change the original files of your client you WILL have to reinstall wow because it will crash when you start it. So i think you shouldn't do that^^
