[Question] Model Editing - Error when no WoWME in /WoW

Okay, here's the problem: when i put the model edit fix and the patch-1.mpq in my wow folder, everything works fine and stuff but when i delete the files i cannot start wow the normal way (wow.exe)(without wowme.exe and the patch-1.mpq) again. I'm pretty sure i've deleted everything and the right things but i can furtheron only start wow with the mefix ;[

only thing to help is installing wow again but that cannot be the sollution

sure it does help? it had never helped with any problems i have had in the past
and what's the possible reason for it? so i can avoid it in the future

I think you've got either one of two problems, but I'm still new to this:

1) WoW is trying to load the edited file archive that you put in /Data, but cannot because the files are invalid (edited). Removing the files from /data should solve this. (It has for me, anyway)

2) You deleted / corrupted the file its trying to load. Repair WoW (as Pullefjun said). I'd remove all your edits before hand, though.

okay, so when 2.4 will come, i will just remove wowme and the patch-x files, run the repair tool and play untill the 2.4 mefix will go live
