    [Question] Some noggit questions

    Oi.

    I've recently started working with noggit and it's going quite good.

    Well yea, some questions.

    First: In noggit some doodads works perfectly fine but whenever I enter the game some, just some, doodads are gone. Anyone know why? :/ There are doodads on the same adt which works so that's not it. Edit: Here's the ADT text output.

    Some of the street lamps and some of the grass disappears.

    Second: Is it possible to change the name of the area you're in, or just the area name of one adt?

    Third: not sure if it's doable but can one add new minimap images for an area? I've added a wmo and apparently it also changes the minimap if you're walking on it..

    First - I can't pinpoint your exact error as it has been ages since my last usage og NoggIt and how it works, so hopefully someone comes along that can figure it out.

    Second - To edit and manipulate minimap images:

    The minimaps are located as 265*265 pixels sized BLPs in the folder textures/minimaps/.

    The original minimaps filenames are MD5 hashes of their content: fff54e4cb56bace7a493ecc4272fb96d.blp while the files themself are not encrypted in any way.

    In the folder you also can find the file md5translate.trs where the assignment of minimap-blps to the ADTs is written down.

    Names of selfmade minimap BLPs can be chosen freely but its recommended to name them in a way like "map_x_y.BLP", just like they are named in the .TRS file. Alternatively just use MD5 hashes as Blizzard does - which seems the best since you can avoid duplicate files.

    The "md5translate.trs" is an easy textfile where the files are written down in the following pattern:

    dir: defines the map the ADTs belong to. Don't forget the space character after the doublepoint. After that follows every adt with the BLP picture matching the tile.

67ba43d493e62a8fad5de319e6d4cb05.blp = the blonging BLP File.
    The files are parsed in WoW with the patterns "dir: %s", where %s is the name in Map.DBC. After that, there will be "%s\\map%i_%i.blp\t%s.blp" where the variables are map, y, x and hash.

    Yes, Blizzard could simplyfy that. As there is a dir: in front of all blocks, they could just use the format

    Open MWS, hit pack, new archive, then select your new DBC and at a dialog box type in: "DBFilesClient\AreaTable.dbc" and hit okay, then save and close

    9) Name MPQ anything, place in data folder, use ME fix, start wow, have fun!

    A few things that I noticed.

    You have two errors with your .txt file for that adt that I've noticed.. The first being in the MMDX chunk. you skipped the number 19, I'm pretty sure you need to go in order for the ID Numbers.

    The second issue is also with the counting of your files, in the MDDF section, you have a total of 88 files, not 87, you have to remember to count "0" as "1" and "2" as "3"...ect, until you get to "87" which would be "88"

    I also recommend using 8 numbers for your Unique ID so you don't run into conflicting unique ID's.
    The best way to do this. is to take the adt name, such as.. Azeroth_12_11.adt, and take the two numbers in the adt name, in this case, "12", and "11".
    Open your text file, and for the Unique ID, do something like this. "91211000" then for the next unique ID, you would do "91211001"..ect

    I also noticed, for your model scale, you have a HUGE number "1184826368" thats a giant scale, Idk if thats an error from copy and pasting your .txt info into the forum.. but that could also give you some problems.

    Try fixing your text file with what I've suggested, and It should fix all of your missing lamps and grass (I fixed the MDDX info for you, and I also fixed your ID's on your MDDF section, all you should have to do is try changing your Unique ID's, and your scales)

    New question, I've raised the water level with allwater.exe.. Instead of raising the water level the tool removes the ground in that adt. The filesize gets significantly lower as well. Any solution?

    Taliis doesn't have a water height editor for me :/

    edit: Oh to answer your question squabert; I've fixed the missing number 19, didn't know they needed to be in order but cryect's automatically fixed it anyway.
    In the MDDF Section, there is actually 87 because I erased number 19 in the other section and erased number 19 in here as well :X There's number 9...68 then 9...70 directly after or something

    The scale is something odd I know, but it works and it's cryect's which outputs it that way for some reason.

    I've increased the unique ID but they still won't spawn in-game, sadly.

    As cryect puts out that huge sizevalue for those doodads ,then its clear why they dont show up ingame...
    Open the adt in taliis,rework the size on every doodad,save that adt.

    It that didnt work... please load the adt up^^

    Allwater won't work with 3.x ADTs, as the ADT-Format has changed between 2.x and 3.x so the water is now in another chunk(MH2O).
    Also Cryects Tools might make some mistakes if you didn't update them.
