Ok I was looking in the WoW mpq folders as I usually do and I had this idea kinda just pop up. Why not change the hyjal port to say some other random ID that isn't a port. Would this possibly take away the transport, so we could explore current hyjal again?

Nope. That port is not even in that file. Its a serverside effect.

hmm I wonder if you can get the id of the effect can you get the area of effect outlined on the map by attaching a model to the id?

Its a serverside effect. The table has nothing to do with it. You can't get the ID of a non-existing entry. The area of effect is the whole Hyjal.
