This latest build seems to have a LOT of unknown files - even with the last TOM_RUS listfile, it looks like there's over 20000 unknown files. There have been a handful of new maps for alliance garrison buildings added in the last build (18764). Hope TOM_RUS manages to give us an updated listfile for this latest build. In the meantime, I'll try making my own additions to his listfile.

Yeah but MMO-Champion somehow is able to get all this data. I'm hoping TOM will be able to provide us with a full list, at least for the music since that's the only thing I still care about in WoW, the game itself is pretty dead to me after the disaster that Cata was, left during the year of Derpwing and no new content, never looked back. Pandas and all the shitty cuts and bastardization in WoD surely don't make me want to come back either. The music is top notch though, I want it.

Knowing the mechanics behind generating wod listfiles (logging requests by the client) makes you self-reliant and adaptive.
MMO-Champion either has a guy like that to rely on - or tools of their own.

Looking through files blindly is also an option, depending on the scale of changes it might win or lose you time.

It's quite easy to generate the list file. You know what dbc's are loaded from the client and the dbc's give the full path to the files. The files often contain more paths you can retrieve.

Not all files are in DBC, but you are generally right.

To create list file:
Prase dbc
Log client

Now, I'm new to all this and have been trying to absorb the discussion in this thread, particularly with the goal of generating my own listfiles. Unfortunately, I'm just not getting it. Could someone outline the steps used to generate a new listfile? Or am I misunderstanding how this works? Again, very new to all this, my primary goal is to be able to see and extract the music files.

All music will be referenced from the Gluexml Lua files and the sound entries DBC. Try extracting

Interface/GlueXML/AccountLogin.lua

And you might find the path in that file.

Thank you for the suggestion. If I did this correctly, reviewing that AccountLogin.lua and the soundentries.dbc didn't yield anything significant. So, I guess there hasn't been a mass integration of new music files yet, or there's some other way of getting to them that I don't understand yet.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out here for new listfiles over time and see what happens.

You can find music files in FileData.dbc. Just search for sound/

I just haven't had the time to generate my own (let alone the know-how). At least now there's 15000-less unknowns

i use the extractor made by TOM_RUS, selected the region to enUS, but when i try to extract undead model, i only got harmonized undead model, that's the Chinese version(zhCN). how can i fix this problem and get the new model with bones?
