yup thats fine i go to work as well just not today .. i just would like to know how to take all the ME fixes off until someone updates the current one

Just posting this so ppl can still play WoW while they wait for Chazz to get the time to update the MEF (btw if u read this chazz thx for making the MEF and updating it) well back to what i was saying before to make it easier once you download the MEF just copy and paste your wow folder onto your desktop and rename it model edit start or w/e will help u remember, then just throw the MEF in that folder and put all your model edits in there too, allows you to play wow while Chazz works on a update so you dont have to come on here and post that you cant play wow untill he updates the patch

Re: [Model Edit Fix] Official Model Edit Fix Thread

He's saying to copy the actual World of Warcraft folder in your Program Files, put the copy on your desktop and move all the model edits + MEF in the copied WoW folder...that way the WoW folder in your Program Files is, in a sense i guess, pure from errors, that way you can play wow while still having a backup of your model edits

Re: [Model Edit Fix] Official Model Edit Fix Thread

ah ic but the problem is is that even when i take everything out all th model edit stuff and the fix when my wow should (as far as i know) be pure i still cant open wow

    ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
    Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    File: DBFilesClient\AreaTrigger.dbc

that error still comes up which is the error that came up for everyone before the 2.2.2 MEF

Re: [Model Edit Fix] Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Could always just have your edits in a 'patch-<a to z>' format and just rename it to disable them.

Eg. from 'patch-a.mpq' to 'patch-1a.mpq' will disable the file and thus the edits inside the mpq.

that's how it works for me anyway.

Re: [Model Edit Fix] Official Model Edit Fix Thread

i'm having the exact same problem as u chinggy...but i get this error

The patch "base\signaturefile" could not be applied. (Invalid source file size: expected 2050799, actual 2050690.)

i don't have a patch-2.mpq in my data folder, only patch.mpq. Seems like from the error im missing something? perhaps patch-2.mpq. I've run the repair bot and removed MEL...someone please help us =(

Pretty straight forward..just remove anything that has to do with your model changing and open wow how you used to...
