[Model Edit Fix] Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Hehe, soz guys this ain't working either. Something that just came up in my mind though, gosh.. you just gotta be extremely annoyed at people like me? ;D I've never had problems with modelediting before. But this time something seems to struggle, before this i always created my own models and just dl'd the fix from here.

Im trying to search some answers

Don't remove the patch-2.mpq, lol, it's not a model edit change. It contains game files, no wonder you can't play WoW.

Hmm, seems that modelchange died for me ^^

With the Patch-deDE-2.MPQ I'm not able to log in, after typing my accdates in, WoW show me a message that I've got the wrong version or something.
If I remove Patch-deDE-2.MPQ, WoW skip this message. But after logging in to my characters, I get an Error. The same Error I get when I'm using Modelchange without the fix. And yes, I'm sure I've started WoW by useing the newest fix.

Well it keeps crashing regardless, just a different kind of critical error. For me that is anyway :/

Y, that's what i thought sounded strange aswell, i tried - but didn't work (since i didn't find the other "patch-2 thingie in engb folder before this" anyhow, i putted the real patch-2.mpq back in the /data folder and everything is working fine without the fix or any models on. But somehow it seems that the "fix" file just won't pass through the "blizzard block" or whatever it is (yes, im very unexperienced in these areas) and after that, error screen about my trollfemale.mpq blabla is corrupted. Conclusions?

Your Command window should say "patch disabled" when logging in and patch enabled when choosing character.

the patch2 in Patch-enGB-2.MPQ is only about the brewfest/npc's and the likes wont be visible if you remove it.

Well this worked the first time, now it just crashes when trying to log in.
Yes I know when to press end and when to press home, this is not that crash.

"WoW.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Tried rebooting and everything, I don't get why it worked once perfectly and never again.

still not working though :<

EDIT: Pressing end before logging in - and home when you're in doesen't seem to solve it either, last thing i'll try is to simply reboot. With microsoft rebooting can do wonders (A)

Doesn't work for me either, it worked before the game patch with the last fix you released.

Hehe, no I haven't^^. Thanks, it's working now.

For those who don't know how you should do that :

• Running WoW by useing the newest ModelEditLive
• If WoW appears, I mean, this Screen where you're able to enter your Accdatas, press END
• Type in your Accdatas
• Press enter and while WoW is trying to log in, press HOME ( für deutsche : pos1 )
• Tada !

this is really strange, and it's really driving me nuts. Im doing exactly
as you guys are explaining, could there have been anything else?
Perhaps if you start wow with this "launcher.exe" after haven't used
it in a long while, could it "install / upload" any type of files etc that
might could be blocking in some strange way? I'd really enjoy all kinds of help
tips, though i have already gotten alot!

EDIT: Nvm, i just rebooted the comp once again - and now it seems to work
But i'd still like to thank all for their help and time!
