Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Sorry guys, my internet went down last night, then my power went out. We had really bad weather down here, anyway, I'm uploading the new fix atm. It's the same build as the PTRs.

Also, I'm looking at ways to make a better fix but it's gonna be a pain in the ass it seems.

    Potential Methods:
    1. Hook WoW events and enable/disable the fix automatically at the right times.
    2. Disable the consistency check.
    3. Change the hashed values that the consistency check uses to my own so it will pass without having to disable it.

First of all, i would like to let you know that i really do appreciate the work you're putting down into this, me myself is studying and learning c++ @ school, but wow - we're far from going in that deep. Anyway, with all due respect i think there's some wrong on this one after all :/

Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

Try removing patch-2.enGB.mpq ( or something like that... ) and run WoW

the patch-2.mpq is a file that's required i think, it have been there ever since tbc was launched i think. So that wont do it at all im afraid, this message was shown:

    World of WarCraft (build 731

    Exe: C:\Program\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    Time: Oct 4, 2007 12:15:19.031 AM
    User: XXXX
    Computer: XXXX
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This application has encountered a critical error:

    ERROR #131 (0x85100083) File Corrupt
    Program: C:\Program\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
    File: DBFilesClient\AreaTrigger.dbc

I think there might could be a small "issue" in the fix, though im not sure - just my guess.

Re: Official Model Edit Fix Thread

I just checked on my computer, the fix works for me.

Also, you need to keep patch-2.mpq as far as I'm aware, deleting that will cause problems.

    Not patch-2.mpq
    Patch-enGB-2.mpq is what I meant.

    can be found at

    C:\Programs\World of Warcraft\Data\enGB
