Simple beautiful.
This is exactly what all druids have been looking for. Thank you much.
simply awesome![]()
i love these new forms
One question:
I really like all of the Tauren models for the shapeshift forms, but I prefer the Tauren Lynx over the standard cat form you have provided.
Is there a way to get the standard forms for Dire Bear and Cheetah , but the Tauren Lynx instead of the standard Catform?
(Thanks for the skins. Awesome job)
Andrige, very nice job mate. Keep it up!
I did some experiments of my own, and I am having some trouble with the cat form skin.
If I change a single pixel in the original file (even in your file) I get this black rectangle on the back that should be transparent. Have you, or anyone else experienced something similar?
I am sure I didn't paint over any transparent pixels. I tried both PNG2BLP and TGA2BLP converters, as well as different compressions when adding them to MPQ archive. Results are always the same. It's not the model viewer either, they apear like this ingame too. Everything is working well with other skins that include transaprent pixels, such as EntSkinBrown.blp. Any suggestions?![]()
Yes, you're fiddling around with the format .png when you in fact should be working with .tga.
The black rectangles that you speak of is what happens when you use .png, as that area needs an alpha-channel to define where the transparency is which can be used in TGA. So, get the TGAtoBLP2 and BLP2toTGA executables somewhere on the net, then it should work just fine.
Just don't forget that TGA > PNG in every way when it comes to texturing.
Seems both of my converters weren't working. I got the TGA2BLP one from curse.com and it seems to handle transparency well.
Changing few pixels worked fine. But how do you get around this? (Don't think there are two files, since your skin works well)

First off: Extract the texture you want to use, either as .BLP and convert to TGA or if you use MyWarcraftStudio v.10.0 you have the option to extract image and then select the format as .TGA so you don't need to convert blp > tga.
Secondly: Open the .TGA file you extracted and go to "Channels" tab which is just nearby the "Layers" tab by default. Make sure that there is a channel named "Alpha 1", this is the transparency channel.
Tip: You can easily ctrl-click the small preview window there to effectively get the marking of the channel. This goes for every layer/channel, ctrl-clicking those rocks. This is useful to be able to paste other channels from another file if so needed by clicking the filled square with a white circle inside at the bottom of the Channel/Layer menu, this will create a channel for you.
And then lastly: You have used PNG to recolour it. When you did use PNG, did you notice that that part of the mane which is blue, can't be seen when you were editing it? Use TGA! PNG does this since it can't do this semi-transparency that WoW uses, since it can't be transparent and still have data lying underneath that transparency is my guess. PNG is made for the web, TGA is more advanced in this sense.
*_* Those models are teh smex!
And the ghostwolf looks fabulous! I MUST get it on my shammy.![]()
Hey first of all thanks alot for this skins they are just great.

I did use .TGA all the way in my example. I think I get it now, thanks for being helpful. My Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is too old (or I need to reconfigure something). It doesn't load the alpha1 channel and I cannot save a .TGA file with one. Actually, when it loads a TGA it treats the alpha1 channel as transparent, ie:
instead of these 2:
But I could change some other files such as EntSkinBrown.blp since it has no data lying underneath the alpha1.
EDIT: Googled a little bit. This solves it: Adobe Forums - No alpha channel with Photoshop 7 targa files
