[The End] Model Editing on MMowned

This wasn't a goodbye thread by the way.
It's a reflection on what is wrong in our eyes here and a little advice too.
Yeah, we won't be so active and won't be posting a bunch and won't be releasing edits here, but if you think about it, we haven't for a long while anyway. What's changed? Not much. No reason to get pissed off at us. We're just looking for new challenges and opportunities because they aren't being presented here. No one wants to live in a place where the quality as gone down, quantity has gone up and is infested with leechers.

Would you want to live in a neighborhood with a bunch of people asking you for money everywhere you go and at every chance they get? Probably not.

please only use I instead of we... I know for a fact that you are not talking for every model editor...

and as said once again, if you feel that there is a need for a change then make a thread in the section that you had made before releasing everything that you told others to keep in there.

I am very well capable of speaking for myself here.
this was not meant to be turned into an argument. nor do i want it closed. this is simply pointing out that model editing for most of the elites Is dead, maybe we did handle it wrong, but this is how it went down. this is just my good bye to mmowned. the only reason i posted a goodbye here is because this place has meant so much to me. it wasnt to say mmowned was stupid. i will allways have friends here, and im sure in some way, this place will allways reflect back to me in some way, and keep influencing my life, but please dont flame this thread, i just wanted to know the opinions of everyone that has been in the model editing scene, and see maybe different perspectives on the matter before i left.

I totally know nothing what happens internaly.

But apparently this was supposed to be a 'secret forum', but by allowing 'leechers' here you will get these situations. And this situations is only bad from a certain point of view. The people who think themselves to be true artists(not saying they aren't), feel underappreciated. I can understand them completly, because most people only here for Andrige's work, race swap, mount swap, ...

And some of them are interested in the bigger work and want to try it themselves, but most do not care. They only want their race changed and honestly they do not know how you think about all this. For a lot of gamers this is just a place where you can find Andrige's Model Edits.

YOu can either shut this down and start anew for only experienced and talented people or you can change some things that puts the 'real model editers' in the spotlight. But you people seem to forget that the group you're aiming at is very small. Once again 99% of the people come here, because they are sick of their characters look! And all the rest can go to hell.

I know there's a special section, yes! I don't care about it though.
My question is, do you people want to get us 'leechers' away? Because AZO is saying that we suck and that he gets sick of all those .blp edits.
I really don't understand what his problem is, it's not that we deny him his 'fame'. I'm pretty sure that people will like the work of AZO more, because it's cooler than the regular edits

But most people here are superficial and only want race or mount swap, nothing more nothing less. I think there are a lot of other games where you guys can use your talent, and get the respect you deserve. But Minas Tirith in WoW is only for a small amount of people, which is bad.

No pun intended but just saying that we don't want steal your honor and a lot of us are aware of our inferiority. I don't think anyone has ever stated their work is the best. As far as I recall people just ask what other people think about it and never say: 'this is better than all your nab's shit". Though there are a few people who are really entitled saying this(Andrige, Gideon, ...)

That's the best way anyone has put it so far. People care more if their item looks like Ashbringer then wanting to make up something nice themselves and working towards making it real.

But the urge to do so has decreased with this new Model Edit nerf, which has scared a lot of people.

Well, you can't stick the blame on the ppl who are willing to learn, but just dont have the knowledge to do it. I've asked several technical questions over the past few weeks but only one got answered. If we are to learn, we need tutors willing to teach. Also ppl have to start somewhere and ppl who are new to MEing are expected to do the basics. If you truely expect them to be able to jump right into UV Mapping or making a world edit then your fooling yourselves. But there does need to be some sort of sub-forum where no Leechers can post or view. If you make it to high of a rep requirement, then ppl will just release crap to farm rep points until they can get in.

I am a leecher and he is right there is a member only forum because i used to have an account but it got the boot because so idiot thought it was funny to over +Rep me ,and I'm not made about it i'll just have to work my way back up.

Secondly the best model editors are dead so R.I.P that part of model editing although i see new model edit stuff everyday so the knowledge that you have passed on is continuing to be used so thank you for that. Please close this thread if you don't want anymore flaming and I hope to see a comeback someday in WoTLK!

I stoped posting my ADT edits a long time ago. I redeveloped Stormwind into a desert, it took me a week. But some guy that lowered the grounds in WSG and made a path to GM island (like 30 minutes) got over 7 pages of replies and 50+ rep for it. COME ON... (i dont care to much about rep, im just saying this community is for exploits and cheating....)
