[Race Edit] Undead Faces Fixed for Any Race > Scourge

    Greets people of MMowned.

Many people have trouble with converting a Race > Scourge, The jaw not added, the facial hair is still there, the hair is the wrong colour/texture, and somtimes while there is hair their scalp is bald.

With this .Zip file i have included everything that should be in a Scourge model edit, the only thing i have not fixed is the jaws as i didn't want to mess up other races jaws if people are not even editing them.

You can find a nice and easy guide on how to fix your jaw here : http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...rge-swaps.html

Now onto what is in the zip and how to use it.

Inside is a folder called Character, inside that is a folder called race. Then there is also a folder called 'raceedithere'. This is just to ouline the structure of the Folders blizzard use. So i'm saying, the hair and face texture files go in the race folder and 'raceedithere' is just the male or female folder you are given if you make a model edit using glitchy's tool. If you don't use glitchy's tool then you should know enough.

Inside this zip is a load of BLP files, blizzards home made texture file format. I use a tool which is much better than My Warcraft Studio as it uses a neat little file system similar to that which windows uses. You can download it here and i would suggest you do : MPQ Archives - Downloads

Once you have the program open up your mpq file in it, then browse to your race folder 'Character\Race\' And drag and drop all of the .BLP files from my zip into this folder, once you are done simply close the mpq. There is no save button.

    It's that easy

Hope this helps some people and if you have any questions please do ask.

Apparently, the last posts written in this thread got deleted somehow. Anyhow. I did what you wrote in this post, and my hair gets changed to Undeadstyle, but my bugged Human Female face remains the same.. Like i got the .blp face of a human female, but the rest of the body is fine... The shape of the head is also UD-shaped, i just can't fix the skin etc :|

So for example if i did a gnome male to scourge, "Character\Gnome\Male\ to Character\race\Race Edit here\.

Please explain this to me: Should i add the files from YOUR zip file into the .MPQ file i created with Glitchy's MES, or should i extract the contents from the .MPQ file into the "Race Edit here" folder from your zip? I didn't really find it clear enough, i may be a retard but i still don't get it, and i can usually handle most other modelchange stuff:|

Well, I really hope you can give me a hand further on this case. I have attempted to fulfill my Human Female -> Undead Male convertion, but i always end up at the very same chokepoint. To convince you that i Dragged&Dropped the files from your .zip file into my Race-convertion MPQ (created by Glitchy's MES), i included a screenshot of how my .MPQ file looked after i had moved over the files, to have you ensure that i put them in the correct place:

As earlier mentioned, i keep returning to this chokepoint. To explain in detail: I make the Human Female - Undead Male modelchange MPQ using Glitchy's MES (I've done this multiple times both with and without helmfix, it makes no difference in the final result). I load WoW, and what i see is the structure of my Human female is shaped like an Undead Male, so that part is successful. However. The bones in my legs are skin-colored, so is my face, and all other visible parts of the body, and the face is the Human Female face, stretched over an Undead Male body. I have attempted to fix this LOTS of times changing my face/skin files using the "Change your face" guide from this site. It never results in any change, and this is getting very frustrating.

    This is the actual result:

Looks kinda freaky =) If anyone could help me out and make this work, I will +Rep you as good as i can. I really want to get this fulfilled sometime, so if you think you can assist me, give me a PM (i check by here lots of times every hour) and i will give you my MSN. In advance, thanks, i really hope someone can help me out :]

    Best regards,
    Astralis

    Edit: Fixed faulty image link.

    Orc > Undead Male

Jaw is down to yourself as i can't include it in a pack since it would require a pointless edit of several files for each race and gender, it takes 5 minutes to fix anyway. About the eyes, i'm not sure.. There's a file for the eyes in there i think but not sure what it is supposed to be named.
